Feature-length fantasy "The Fire-Hunting King" by Rieko Hinata to be produced as an original anime on WOWOW!

Rieko Hinata's full-length fantasy "The King of Fire Hunting" will be adapted into an anime as a WOWOW original project.

The "King of Fire Hunting" is a full-length fantasy by Rieko Hinata, known for her works such as "Ame Furu Honya" (Ame Furu Bookstore). With the theme of "fire," the story depicts children living in a world after the final human war and trying their best to survive despite the many difficulties they face. The work is a fantasy full of originality, and its deep themes have touched the hearts of many readers.

The animation production will be handled by "Signal M.D.," which was established in October 2014 as an IG Port Group company.

I started writing "The Fire-Hunting King" because I wanted to write a big story with "fire" as the theme. I spun the story while thinking, "Live, live!
I believe that the great power of animation is to remind viewers of the richness of life.
I am incredibly happy, awed, and filled with anticipation to be able to support these children who have been given this power. I hope that you, the readers, will join me in watching over them.

A full-length fantasy series by Rieko Hinata, "The Fire-Hunting King" (already 4 volumes published by Holp Shuppan).
The world after the final war of mankind. The land is covered with black forests, and people are affected by an ignition pathogen that causes people's bodies to catch fire when they come into contact with natural fire. In this world, fire is extracted by hunting fire demons, black beasts that live in the forests. Among the fire hunters who hunt fire demons, there is a rumor that has been whispered recently." The fire hunter who hunts the artificial star that wanders in the void, the millennial comet, will be called the king of fire hunters"....
The protagonists of the story are Touko, a girl who grew up in a village, and Koushi, a former student in the capital. The encounter between these two people, who should never have met, changes the fate of the world.
