Hideaki Ito and Masked Rider Eden are smiling together... Report on the opening ceremony of "TAMASHII NATION 2020" to be held from November 6 to 8, 2020.

TAMASHII NATION 2020, an annual event featuring the latest figures from TAMASHII NATIONS, BANDAI SPIRITS' unified brand of collectibles for adults, will be held online from 10:00 on Friday, November 6 to 23:59 on Sunday, November 8, 2020. The event will be held online from 10:00 on Friday, November 6 to 23:59 on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Prior to this, an opening ceremony was held on November 5.

The first to take the stage on which a giant Pac-Man sat was Yusuke Fukuda, President of BANDAI SPIRITS Co. He said that under this year's theme "'FIGURE MUSEUM': Even Adults Can Have Fun", the company will continue to provide new hobby entertainment from Japan to the world.

Yuki Kimura (Yuki Poyo) and Akira Kawashima of the comedy duo Kirin took the stage next.

Yuki Poyo is known as a fashion model, TV personality, and artist, but she is also interested in the hobby, having loved playing with dolls when she was little and watching "Masked Rider" in real time until she was in the first year of junior high school. Kawashima-san, on the other hand, is a hard-core hobbyist who has loved figures and chogokin (superalloys) since he was a child and still checks them out.

Together with these two, they introduced new items of interest for "TAMASHII NATION 2020.

Three topics were presented at this year's event. One of them was the "Soul of Chogokin GX-100 Project," the 100th installment of the "Soul of Chogokin" series, which started in 1997, is just around the corner. New products from the "Soul of Chogokin" series were introduced.

The center of attention was the "Getter Arc," the lead robot of the "Getter Robo Arc," which was exhibited for the first time. This is a very interesting item, along with the recently announced anime version of the "Getter Robo Arc".

And "Pac-Man," the world-famous character representing the Namco Bandai Group, also makes an appearance as a Soul of Chogokin figure. Yukipoyo, who actually held the sample in her hands, was very excited, saying, "It's Pac-Man! she said excitedly.

In addition, Yukipoyo was also able to ride on the giant Pac-Man standing statue on the stage, and she happily climbed on it. It's so cozy! I want to live here, it's like home.

Next, "products linked with TV animation works" were introduced.

Kawashima-san took a look at the "PRPLICA Tanjiro Kamado," an authentic 1/1 scale display model of the main character Sumijiro's weapon "Tanjiro Kamado" from "Demon Slayer," which is currently taking the world by storm.

The tsuba is amazing!" commented Yukipoyo. Yukipoyo responded with a novel comment, "I keep a fake sword at my entrance for crime prevention, but I want to use this one (Hiwatato) from now on.

The two were also surprised to learn that this product was made according to the dimensions calculated from Sumijiro's set height.

Also on display was a "special commemorative product" for this event, "Figjarts mini Tanjiro Kamado - Hinokami Kagura. This is a special item with a beautiful pearlescent paint job. Yukipoyo, who actually held the figure in her hands, commented, "Cool! It's beautiful! Her codfish lips are so cute! Her coddled lips are so cute!

As a product linked to the TV anime, the new original anime "Back Alou," which will be broadcast in two consecutive seasons starting in January 2021, was also introduced. This robot anime is directed by Goro Taniguchi, director of "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion" and Kazuki Nakajima, screenwriter of "Gurren Lagann".

Kawashima said, "The transparency of the clear parts is amazing. When we were little, we used to ask ourselves, 'Who is that? Who are you? but if anything, the figure (of Muga) is much cooler than the anime picture.

The third topic was the "Masked Rider 50th Anniversary Teaser Project.

At this event, all 400 items from the S.H.Figuarts lineup of the high-targeted Masked Rider figure series to date were on display. In addition, the "S.H.Figuarts" of "Masked Rider Eden" from "Masked Rider Zero One the Movie," which will be released on December 18, 2020, will be on display for the first time, and Hideaki Ito, who plays Masked Rider Eden, and Fumiya Takahashi, who plays Masked Rider Zero One (the main character, Tojin Tobiden) will be on stage. They talked about their enthusiasm for "Masked Rider Zero One the Movie" and the Masked Rider figure they transform into.

Mr. Ito is such a fanatic that he is actually a member of Premium Bandai. In his private life, he recently purchased figures of Masked Rider Souther and Masked Rider 001.

Takahashi-san, on the other hand, has figures of Masked Rider Zero One in all of its previous forms displayed in his home. "I get excited when I can freely move figures of the riders I have seen on set at every filming," he said.

Mr. Ito also commented happily, "My son will turn 5 this year, and I was able to become a Rider when he was at his happiest, creating a memory for his life. Seeing Mr. Ito smiling with a figure in his hand, Yukipoyo commented in a friendly manner, "At first I thought he looked strict, but Mr. Ito with the figure, he looks like a child.

TAMASHII NATION 2020, which opened with such an opening, will be held online from 10:00 on November 6, 2020 (Friday) to 23:59 on November 8, 2020 (Sunday). In addition to experiencing in VR the venue where approximately 1,000 figures will be exhibited, visitors will be able to view figures from 360°, and new product announcements will be made via video streaming.
