Metamorphosis, a 3D adventure inspired by Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis, is released today!

On November 5, 2020, the Japanese version of "Metamorphosis," a surreal 3D adventure game inspired by Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis," will be released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game is also being exhibited at the Indie Live Expo II event in Japan.

Take on the role of Gregor and embark on a strange journey to solve the mystery of your "metamorphosis" into insect form.

Metamorphosis" is a game inspired by the fascinating works of Franz Kafka. It is a first-person puzzle adventure set in a surreal and beautiful world featuring a man who has been transformed from a human into an insect. Explore familiar environments from a completely new perspective, solve puzzles, and overcome various objects that stand in your way as giant and dangerous obstacles. Run around everywhere, using your new physical abilities, such as your small body, wriggling legs, and gooey liquids, to your advantage.

This film required a new approach to the structure of each stage, its lead-in, and the way it is controlled. The Ovid team had this to say: "We wanted to give the player a 'bug' experience.

We wanted to capture the strange sensation of the player "turning into an insect. During the development phase, we tried many different techniques, many of which failed. In the end, however, we were able to successfully express the "feeling of being an insect" through the use of size and appropriate guidance. But what we are most confident about is the consistency of graphics, gameplay, and story in this work. We are proud of the level of integration of these elements, which is unmatched by any other production.
