PS5 is released on this day! A light-up event was held the day before to celebrate the launch!

PlayStation 5 (49,980 yen (excluding tax)) and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (39,980 yen (excluding tax)), the next generation console game console, went on sale in Japan today, November 12 (Thursday). To celebrate the launch, a lighting event was held at Kanda Myojin (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) from 18:00 to 24:00 on November 11 (Wed.), the day before the launch.

This event will be held sequentially around the world as a global launch event for PS5. In Japan, the event was held at Kanda Myojin Shrine, which has a prestigious 1300 year history and has recently been involved in entertaining through various events such as animation and digital events.


The launch of PS5, which marks the beginning of a new era in gaming, was represented by the projection of the PS5 logo, tagline, and shape (△○×□□), and the symbolic blue-centered illumination of PlayStation.
