At the production announcement held today, November 19, 2020 (Thursday) at 9:00 p.m., the key visual, second PV, main cast, main staff, theme song artist, and other details of the TV anime "Tokyo BABYLON 2021" were unveiled, and it was also announced that the broadcast will be in April 2021.

Tokyo Babylon," a legendary work by CLAMP, a group of manga artists who have sold more than 100 million copies of their works in Japan and have gained enthusiastic support worldwide, was serialized in Shinshokan's South and Monthly Wings magazines from 1990 to 1993. It is considered one of CLAMP's early masterpieces. It has been announced that the animation production will be handled by GoHands, which has created many beautiful and delicate images, including the theatrical version of the "Mardock Scramble" series, and is also highly acclaimed for its original animations such as the "K" series and the new "Playta's Wound.

When the information about the TV anime adaptation was released at midnight on October 26 (Mon.), the first PV, teaser visual, animation video and production studio GoHands were announced, and the anime attracted a great deal of attention as it dominated the No. 1 trend in Japan for several hours, especially on social networking services.

At the production announcement held today, November 19 (Thu.) at 9:00 p.m., the key visual, second PV, main cast, main staff, theme song artist, etc. were all unveiled, and it was announced that the broadcast will be in April 2021.

The main cast will include Shota Aoi as the main character, Subaru Sumeragi, Nana Mizuki as Hokuto Sumeragi, and Yuichiro Umehara as Seishiro Sakurazuka. The main staff includes directors Shingo Suzuki and Susumu Kudo, series composition by Jun Kumagai, and character design by Makoto Furuta.
Comments from the main cast and director Shingo Suzuki are available on the official website. It was also announced that Shota Aoi will sing the opening theme song and Nana Mizuki will sing the ending theme song.

Shota Aoi and Yuichiro Umehara, who are the main cast members, took the stage at the production announcement broadcast live on YouTube, where a beautiful key visual featuring all three main characters and the second PV were also unveiled. In the latest PV, we can see Koryu, Hokuto, and Hoshishiro fighting, and it seems that the delicate yet powerful battle scenes are one of the charms of this work.
Character voices are also revealed for the first time in this PV. The production presentation is being archived on YouTube until 23:59 on November 26 (Thu.).

To commemorate the announcement, a present campaign is being held on the TV anime's official SNS. Also, from November 20 (Fri.) to November 23 (Mon., holiday), life-size standee panels of the main characters will be on display at four animate stores (Ikebukuro, Nagoya, Osaka Nihonbashi, and Kyoto).

Kou Kouryu (CV. Shota Aoi)

He is the 13th head of the Imperial Family, the top Onmyoji in Japan. He is one of the most powerful Onmyoji of his generation. To train to become an independent Onmyoji, he and his twin sister, Hokuto, take on the responsibility of solving spiritual cases in Tokyo.
She is pure and caring, and has a sensitive heart that accepts the pain of others as if it were her own. On the other hand,she has little attachment to"herself"and is willing to give up her own life for the sake of others, which always worries Hokuto.

Koh Hokuto is Kouryuu's twin sister who is active, cheerful, and always dressed up and enjoying being a "girl. She is responsible for taking care of her younger brother, who is naive and careless about his surroundings, and she coordinates all of Kouryuu's clothes.
In contrast to the serious Kouryuu, who takes everything very seriously, Hokuto is an optimist who laughs off hardships. She has the kindness to be close to the hearts of those who have been hurt unreasonably and the discretion not to help them easily, and her heart is very warm and deep.

■Hoshiro Sakurazuka (CV. Yuichiro Umehara)

A soft-spoken young veterinarian who always has a gentle smile on his face.He is a descendant of"Sakurazuka Mamoru," an assassin group that uses Yin-Yang techniques to kill people, but he himself claims to have almost no spiritual power.
After catching a parrot that escaped from the hospital, he tells Koryu that he has fallen in love with it, and the two sistersbecome good friends, even to the point of treating Koryu tohome-cooked meals. He becomes such a good friend that he serves them home-cooked meals. He is a reliable person who helps Kouryu whenever she is in danger.
