Hello everyone! This is Kariyasu☆, a hobby writer. In this corner, I will be reviewing, modifying, and playing with Shokugan kits that interest me, under the theme of "Shokugan for adults. In this 15th installment, we will be looking at Dragon Ball Adverge 13, which is currently on sale from Bandai!

This series has become a topic of conversation as popular Dragon Ball characters have been lined up one after another in cute deformed forms. The latest 13th in the series features seven figures from the "Frieza Arc" of "Dragon Ball Z": Son Goku (Super Saiyan), Vegeta, Son Gohan, Piccolo, Zarbon, Frieza (first form), and Dodoria!

The box contains pre-colored figures, Dragon Balls (each with a different number of stars), and a pedestal, ready to play with without assembly. Here is an introduction to each figure

Let's display them in a cool Hobby Color (orange) heading!

Frieza, Zarbon, and Dodoria should be displayed together as a set. It's fun enough to display them as they are, but you can add more atmosphere by placing them on a base!

This time, I put them on a diorama base (rough terrain) that I made myself by painting Tamiya's texture paint on the base of a hundred-yen plastic case. The diorama base is very convenient because once you make it, you can play with it by combining it with various figures and plastic models!

More powerful!

Figures with good molding can be made even cooler with a little repainting (repainting) or smudging. So, I repainted Goku's hair with Tamiya Enamel Clear Orange and smudged his skin and clothes with flat brown and orange!

What do you think? Doesn't it look much more powerful? This time, I used stronger colors to create a "powerful" look, but depending on the character, you may want to use lighter colors (such as light brown or gray) for the smudging. If you have enamel color, a brush, and solvent, you can do it in no time, so please give it a try!
