The story of this title begins about a month after Subaru's life in another world began. Subaru, who saved the children of Aarum Village from magical beasts, has become a popular character and is now interacting with the villagers together with Emilia.

When Subaru and his friends return to the mansion in Roswal, they encounter "Tiga," who has come from the royal capital. The news of the postponement of the royal election comes from "Sakura," the messenger who visited with "Tiga. Subaru and his friends head for the royal capital to find out the reason.

On the way, they meet Otto, a merchant who is under attack by thieves, and Subaru and his friends try to help him. With the help of travelers "Sarum" and "Pooka," Subaru and his friends are able to drive off the bandits and arrive safely at the royal capital.

As the candidates for the king's election gather, the sixth candidate, "Melty", appears. Since there are five candidates for the king's election listed on the Ryu Rekiishi, Emilia is the first to be suspected of being a fake.
