Rainbow Six Siege" will be available for PS5 and Xbox series X/S on December 1!

The tactical shooter game "Rainbow Six Siege" will be available for PS5 and Xbox series X/S on December 1, 2020.

This next-generation version features visual and technical upgrades for the main game and additional content, including 4K/120 FPS (players can set the performance/resolution mode). More than five years after its launch, "Rainbow Six Siege" takes an even bigger step forward with support for the next-generation console version.

Those currently playing the PlayStation4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be able to carry over their progress to the next-generation console versions. Cross-generational play between the same console series is also supported: Players playing on the PlayStation 5 version can play with PlayStation 4 players, and Xbox series X|S players can play with Xbox One players. (Cross-play between different console series, including PC, is not supported).

The digital PlayStation 4 version of Rainbow Six Siege will be switched to a bundle of the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of Rainbow Six Siege on December 1, with the price remaining unchanged. Those who already own the PlayStation4 version of "Rainbow Six Siege" (packaged and digital versions) can upgrade to the PlayStation5 version for 100 yen (tax included).

*For new customers, all editions will be bundled with both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of "Rainbow Six Siege" and can be played on both consoles.
The PlayStation 4 version will be a paid upgrade in Japan, in accordance with Sony Interactive Entertainment's guidelines.

For the Xbox One version, Rainbow Six Siege will support Smart Delivery. Once the game is purchased, it can be played on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions of "Rainbow Six Siege".
