My Neighbor Totoro" will be screened in Chofu, Tokyo! ～Totoro returns to movie theaters for a special 9-day run!

Studio Ghibli's feature-length animated film "My Neighbor Totoro" (directed by Hayao Miyazaki) will be screened at AEON CINEMA THEATAS Chofu.

Chofu City, Tokyo, will host the "Chofu Cinema Festival 2021," a film festival highlighting the makers of films, from February 5 (Fri.) to 28 (Sun.), 2021. Studio Ghibli's feature-length animated film "My Neighbor Totoro" (directed by Hayao Miyazaki), released in 1988, will be screened at AEON CINEMA THEATAS Chofu, the first theatrical showing of the film since "Sayonara Nichigeki Last Show" in February 2018.

The film will be screened in DCP, created by Studio Ghibli as close as possible to the first 35mm film preview at the time of production. The powerful images and sound on the 20-meter wide Theatre 10 screen, which has 526 seats and is the largest screen in Theatre Chofu, will allow the audience to enjoy how closely the original was reproduced in the theater.
