The serialization of "Chuka Ichiban! in the weekly magazine "Weekly Shonen Magazine" since 1995. Later, "Shin Chuka Ichiban! was started and serialized until 1999.
In 1997, it was made into an animated series in Japan, and from 1999 it was broadcast on TV stations in about 80% of the cities in mainland China. Its popularity in China continues to grow, and the total number of views on Chinese distribution sites has exceeded 600 million. <Story
Nineteenth century China. The main character, Liu Maoxing, is the youngest ever to pass the "Special Kitchen Master Examination," the culinary qualification that is considered the pinnacle of China. At the suggestion of his master Chou Yu, he travels around Southwest China with his fellow chef Shirou and Meili, the red star, to broaden his horizons as a chef.
Returning to the "Yang Sen Liquor House" in Guangzhou, Mao decides to fight the "underworld" with his new friends, Shell and Leung, whose ambition is to "control people with food".
In the process, he learns the secret of the eight "legendary kitchen tools" that are said to protect the Chinese culinary world. In the past, Mao's mother, Pai, wished for the happiness of all people and waged a fierce battle against the "underworld".
