The "Evangelion" series, created by Hideaki Anno, is one of Japan's most popular animation series, celebrating its 25th anniversary since it was first broadcast as a TV series in 1995.

In 2007, a new theatrical movie "Evangelion: Preface" was released, followed by "Evangelion: Break" in 2009 and "Evangelion: Q" in 2012, all of which were huge hits. The final film, "Shin Evangelion: The Movie," is scheduled to be released in January 2021, and is expected to be even more exciting.

To mark the 25th anniversary of "Evangelion," we have produced a book featuring a selection of gems of original artwork that should be seen by all aspiring animators. The book contains a digest of the best hand-drawn original drawings from the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" TV series (previously published), including the opening and original drawings from episodes 1 to 26. This special digest edition also includes newly discovered original drawings in full color.

It will be released on January 23, 2021, the same day as the release of "Shin Evangelion the Movie".
