TV Animation "Chibi Maruko-chan" Announces Graduation of Keaton Yamada, Narrator, as of Sunday, March 28, 2021
Keaton Yamada, who has narrated the TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" since its first broadcast in 1990, will graduate from the series on March 28, 2021 (Sunday).
Chibi Maruko-chan" by Momoko Sakura is a heartwarming, funny, and sometimes sad story about Maruko (Momoko Sakura), a third grader and the second daughter of the Sakura family, who lives in Shimizu City (now Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture), and her daily life with her family and friends.
The series by Momoko Sakura was serialized in "Ribon" (Shueisha) in 1986, and a total of 17 volumes of the original comics are currently on sale. The series has sold more than 32.5 million copies (including digital editions), and overseas editions have been published in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea. 1990 saw the start of an animated television series, which airs every Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. on Fuji TV affiliate stations. It has also been broadcast in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other foreign countries, attracting men and women of all ages around the world, and has been loved for a long time.
It has been announced that Keaton Yamada, who has narrated the TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" since its first broadcast in 1990, will graduate from the program on March 28, 2021 (Sunday).

For about 31 years since the program began airing in 1990, he has always created a lively flow in the story with his sometimes sharp and sometimes warm words of wisdom, such as "Continue to the second half" and "It's a fair opinion".
The broadcast will air on Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 6:00 p.m.
