Building a Walking Gundam!

It has been two years since such a grand project was announced, and now the time has finally come for the Gundam to stand its ground!

On December 19, 2020, "Gundam Factory Yokohama" will finally open in Yokohama's Yamashita Pier. This facility will exhibit a full-scale Gundam 18 meters in height, as well as the "ACADEMY" which exhibits the development process and mechanism of the "moving Gundam," the "GUNDAM Café YOKOHAMA Satellite" where you can enjoy local Yokohama cuisine while viewing the Gundam, and "THE GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA" which sells original goods that can only be purchased at the site. The GUNDAM BASE YOKOHAMA Satellite is a complex facility where visitors can enjoy the "Moving Gundam," with original goods that can only be purchased locally.

Prior to the opening, a preview for the mass media was held in early December, and Akiba Research Institute's editorial staff, feeling like Denim & Jean, sneaked into the site!

Following the first article that delved into the appeal of the "moving Gundam," we will introduce the food and drinks available at the "GUNDAM Café YOKOHAMA Satellite" in Part 2!

GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA Cheeseburger (1,430 yen)

Founded in 1923, GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA has created an original arrangement of the popular hamburger from Ojima Shoten, a long-established general meat wholesaler. The rich cheddar cheese is the most delicious!

Pudding a la mode (1,210 yen)

Pudding à la mode is produced by HOTEL NEW GRAND. This dessert was created by the hotel to please an American officer's wife.

A popular wiener bread at Pompadour, a freshly baked bread store born in Motomachi, Yokohama.

Ticket price: Adults (13 years and older): 1,650 yen (tax included)

　　　　　　　　GUNDAM-DOCK TOWER admission fee: 3,300 yen (tax included)

　　　　　　　　Up to 3 children under 6 years old per adult are admitted free of charge.

　　　　　　　　GUNDAM-DOCK TOWER ticket cannot be used by itself. Please purchase it together with the admission ticket.
