The special program "Godzilla and Heroines" will be broadcast on NHK BS Premium on December 19 at 7:30 pm.

Starting with "Godzilla" in 1954, special effects monster movies have been made one after another. These films have fascinated not only the Japanese but also people all over the world, including Hollywood, where they have been made into series.
Beautiful heroines have added flowers to the screen of such tokusatsu monster movies. The charm of monster monsters such as Godzilla, Radon, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, the Gas Man, and Matango shines even more brightly because of their presence.

A unique special program called "Digging into Special Effects Films from the Perspective of Heroines! a unique special program will be broadcast.

The program will trace the heroines who have colored the history of Japanese tokusatsu movies from the Showa to the Heisei eras, introducing as many as 27 Toho tokusatsu movies.

The facilitators are Muga Tsukaji, aka Dr. Tsukaji, and popular voice actress Megumi Ban, aka AI robot Pan droid Meg. In addition, Shiro Sano will appear as a special effects heroine researcher.
