An idol character project that allows real-life "correspondence," "Princess Letter(s)! From Idol" was launched by Shochiku!

Shochiku has announced a new idol character project, "Princess Letter(s)! From Idol", a new idol character project from Shochiku. This is the first project of its kind in the industry in which you write a letter to idol characters and send it to them, and you will receive a handwritten reply that they have written with all their hearts "just for you".

Shochiku, a comprehensive entertainment company that continues to introduce Japanese culture to the world with a focus on theater and film, has paid renewed attention to the culture of letters, where one can feel the warmth of people's hearts, which is difficult to convey online, because direct communication between people is not so free nowadays. Ahead of its full-scale launch in the spring of 2021, a free campaign will begin today.

In addition, based on the theme of "words and thoughts" of the idols themselves that are written in the letters, a comprehensive idol project will be launched that will include various cross-media works such as poetic story descriptions, songs and other voice content, and music videos, in addition to the correspondence.

The project will begin with "correspondence," followed by the development of stories in the form of novels written by the idols themselves, and the sequential release of songs and other voice content in the spring of 2021. The idols' own words and thoughts in the letters, along with the addition of a splendid cast that will weave the story, are planned for a wide range of future development as an idol project.

A team of creators at the forefront of Japanese pop culture will co-star! Voice actors for each character will be unveiled next spring!

The story takes place at an idol training school where girls from all over the country gather to become top idols. In order for the girls to concentrate on their idol activities, the school has a unique rule that prohibits them from using the Internet in any way, including in their private lives. The only way the girls can communicate with the outside world in their private time is through letters. The girls, who are striving day by day to become the idols of their dreams, and "you" exchange secrets through "correspondence.
