Gintama" (original story by Hideaki Sorachi) is a popular comic series published in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) that has sold more than 55 million copies in total. This unrivaled work of entertainment, filled with gags, action, and human kindness, has been loved by fans around the world, and a movie version has been scheduled to be produced as a completely new anime series. It was announced that the popular anime series "Gintama," which has continued for 15 years, will "this time for real" (!?) come to an end. GINTAMA THE FINAL" will be released in movie theaters nationwide on January 8 (Fri.) next year.

A special trailer containing scenes from the film "GINTAMA THE FINAL" has been released for the first time! Manjikiya, Shin-Sen-Gumi, Omoi and Tsukiyo are all making a fool of themselves⁉

GINTAMA THE FINAL", the first week admission present is "Sumijiro & Pillar Illustration Card" by Hideaki Sorachi⁉ Insert song by DOES and trailer are also released!

GINTAMA THE FINAL" is the most powerful and largest scale movie in the series' history, based on the last story of the original work. With the full cooperation of the original author, Hideaki Sorachi, this shocking final chapter is filled with laughter and tears, super-limited action, and tearful friendships, as well as appearances by all the popular characters! Of course, it is also packed with forbidden gags, making it a must-see final blockbuster for Gintama fans. This work is said to be the "last" of the series, but Gintama has been the subject of much controversy due to the repeated "end of the series scams" (......).

The original series started in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha) in December 2003, but in the last half of the original series, the series has been repeatedly endless, a.k.a. "the end is over scam," which has left the fans dumbfounded (or relieved?). In 2018, the manga was supposed to be finished in a cool way in Weekly Shonen Jump, but it was never completed, and was moved to Jump GIGA, an additional edition of the magazine. The manga serialization was completed in June 2019. The details of the story are revealed in the final 77th volume of the comic, and the interaction between the artist who stuck to his work to the end and the editors who were pushed around and saw the hell they went through is truly an interesting "Gintama" story.

Of course, this trend was carried over to the anime as well, and in the first season's 150th episode, "Let's get wrapped up in something long! In the final episode of the second season, Gintoki apologizes in white to all the people who have caused him trouble, and when we thought the third season was about to start, he holds an apology press conference at the beginning of the episode, bowing down and saying, "I'm sorry I didn't finish the series! and Gintoki bowing his head.

The TV series went on to produce a fourth season, and was finally reaching its climax...but the story was abruptly interrupted in the second half of the program. Due to the original story that did not end beyond expectations, the story was unfinished even in the unprecedented final episode, a development that caught not only Gintama fans but also many anime fans by surprise. Despite the fact that two years had already passed since the end of the TV anime, "#Gintama the Final" became a trending topic on Twitter as soon as the release date was announced in August 2020. The special announcement tweet on the official Gintama Twitter page received a huge response, with a cumulative total of over 100,000 RTs. I'm looking forward to it, but I don't want it to end! and "I'm looking forward to it, but I don't want it to end!

And now, in 2020. The movie "GINTAMA THE FINAL" has been quietly produced by Corona Disaster. In the story based on the original work, countless popular characters who have appeared in "Gintama" so far fight in fierce battles, making it a must-see film that can only be seen in the final chapter.

The all-star cast of Gintoki, Shinpachi, Kagura, Hajime, Katsura, Takasugi, and the Shin-Sen-Gumi, all of whom run the Manjo-ya, fight to the death against the biggest and strongest last boss, Utsuro, for the fate of the earth. The recent situation has had a tremendous impact on anime production. The production of this work also had to face various restrictions, such as having to record with a small number of voice actors in order to avoid secrecy. However, even under these difficult circumstances, the staff was able to complete the film with the single-minded determination to deliver the last part of "Gintama" to the fans. This time, the character designs have been completely redesigned for the theater version of the anime, and fans have high expectations for the film. The story is very serious and the gags are too dangerous, and there is a parade of laughter and tearful scenes at every turn.

Will it really end this time? GINTAMA THE FINAL" will be released in theaters nationwide on January 8, 2021.
