I am also interested in future product development! I made a super cool plastic model "J-Decker" from Kotobukiya just by assembling it! The 24th Weekend Plastic Model by Taiyuki!

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and a production period of one to two days! If you read this series, you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! Weekend Plastic Model! Let's start the 24th issue!

Vol. 24 J-Decker

The second kit in Kotobukiya's Yusha series is the "Jaydecker " from "Yusha Keisatsu Jaydecker. This robot is completed by combining the "Jay Loader," a trailer-type support mecha, and the "Deckard," a heroic police detective. Kotobukiya is also planning to produce kits of Deckard and Knight Detective Duke at a later date.

Expectations are high for the lineup to come, but first, let us introduce "Jaydecker.

The package depicts the figure standing strongly in the middle of a group of buildings.

The runner also comes in a variety of colors, and we especially appreciate that the head parts are pre-painted.

Undergates are used for some of the parts, so as you can see, make sure you take care of the gate marks.

So, let's start assembling the figure!

Completed! This is the full-action plastic model "Jay Decker. It took a little over 2 hours to assemble. The parts fit together well, and I was able to assemble it without any stress.

Surprisingly, this kit reproduced the color coding without applying a single sticker.

Rear view. The blue parts of the wings and the black and white coloring of the backpack were all achieved by simply dividing the parts. It is a kit that can be fully enjoyed just by assembling.

Head and chest area. The head has some highlights such as the painted red part of the chin and the red patrol lights. The color-coded chest part, which is the hood of the Deckard, is also reproduced only by dividing the parts.

The shoulder armor is the part where the driver's seat of the Jay Loader was transformed. The patrol lights are reproduced with clear parts.

The head is also composed of almost no visible joints.

What a surprise! If you look into the chest from below, you will see a clear orange part placed in the front part of the vehicle mode of Deckard. This is a very fine trick!

Once again, the back unit is color-coded only by dividing the parts. Normally, the blue parts tend to be sealed, but they did a really good job here.

The orange light part is reproduced with clear parts. I couldn't help but smile.

The color-coding of the waist is also perfect. Both the red and yellow parts are color-coded by dividing the parts. The shape is also well balanced.

At this point, this level of color separation may seem obvious, but no, no, no! Thanks to this, assembly is very easy.

The wheels of the jay loader are also reproduced. Even the shape of the thigh armor follows the design of the play.

Next, let's take a look at the movable parts.

The head is connected with ball joints. It can move up and down and rotate.

The shoulder joints boast a very good range of motion. As you can see, not only standard vertical and rotational movement, but also ......

Swing is also possible with pull-out joints.

The elbows are double-jointed and can be bent to this extent, as well as ......

The upper and lower arms each have a roll axis of rotation, allowing for a variety of poses.

The simple design of the torso is also packed with joints, allowing the figure to flex up and down, left and right, and even slightly roll above the abdomen.

There is a connecting axis that allows slight roll rotation above the abdomen as well, and a rotational axis that allows 360° rotation at the connection with the waist.

The hip joint is not a ball joint, but a two-step axis connection. Roll rotation can be raised to this level and laterally to where the side skirt armor hits. It seems to be able to reproduce the degree of movement that can be done with a normal human body.

Front and rear movement is also as shown here. The knees are double-jointed and movable up to this point.

The ankles also have a good range of motion. The placement is also good.

The molding on the soles of the feet is also well done.

The wings are connected to the shaft, so they can swing if you make the insertion a little shallow.

Now that we've shown you the range of motion, let's try some poses using the included parts!

Jay!

Deckeroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

You can also recreate the flying pose by using the stand (sold separately).

As is typical of the police force, the melee weapon is an electromagnetic baton.

Both left and right hand weapons are included, allowing you to recreate a two-handed pose.

Two batons are included, allowing for a two-handed pose.

The pose can be posed like this using the movable chest. It looks more like Shadow Maru, doesn't it?

By the way, the weapon handle can be snapped.

Next is the Jay Buster. By replacing the barrel, you can recreate both gun mode and rifle mode. This is also color-coded reproduction only by dividing the parts.

Posing like a gun.

Hold up!

Kneel up like this is also possible.

Then rifle mode. Became a form in which the barrel is deployed, the volume up.

J-Buster!

I think there were not many hero robots in the Yusha series that used guns as their main armament.

If you have seen this atmosphere somewhere before, you are quite a "Jadecker" freak!

Now, normally this is where I would say smear or partial painting, but ....... This time I'm going to do both!

Jean!

The main smear is done in gray, and the gold parts are smeared in black. I used Tamiya's smear this time. The emblems and other parts were painted in Eldoran Gold by Gaianotes, the wrists in gunmetal as well, and the electromagnetic baton and the front grille of the jay loader on the shoulder in starbright silver. Since it is a partial paint job, it did not take much time when all the work was done.

I think it was all tightened up at once.

The back is just smeared, so the image is not so different.

The "BRAVE POLICE" on the chest is now clearly visible.

I applied wrapping tape to the blinker part of the jay loader.

This painting was done based on the toys from the time when the cartoon was aired. I hope this painting example reminds you of the toys of those days.

This pose is also related to the detective!

I recommend you to paint it just by smearing the paint.

The muzzle and other parts of J-Buster were painted with black 0.05mm pigma.

Even if the focus is blurred, you can see the details thanks to the smear.

The rifle mode is also shown here.

She is wearing two weapons with a silver-colored electromagnetic baton!

Even the fighting pose is ready to go!

It's not a Dumpson, but it's still a meatball fight!

It's not Power Joe, but it's kung fu style.

Jumping kick!

And, well, the poses are decided and decided, but speaking of Jadecker...

I'm all about the posing, but speaking of Jadecker... "Roger that! Boss!"

The reason why he can pose so well is thanks to the abundance of wrist parts.

And then there is the Brave Girl, one of the features of this series! Jadecker's distinctive parts are worn to give her a loud appearance.

The wing can be attached to her waist, making her look like a ribbon!

Finally, the part that would be used in "Fire Jadecker Mode," the recently announced combined form with the parts that come with "Knight Detective Duke. Joints in the side skirts to attach the Max Cannon that comes with the "Brave Detective Deckard". Joints also in the cover of the arms. The joints on the side parts of the legs have been changed. When it comes to this, we can't wait to combine them together!

So that's all for this issue. We will continue with "Deckard the Brave Detective"!
Enjoy!
