Spring 2021 Anime "SHAMAN KING" Announces Yuji Ueda & Ai Nakajima as Additional Cast Members!

New characters and cast members have been announced for the TV anime "SHAMAN KING," which will begin airing on TV Tokyo in April 2021.

SHAMAN KING," a popular comic book series by Hiroyuki Takei that has sold more than 35 million copies, tells the story of a boy who can see spirits, Ip Asakura, who participates in shaman fights to determine the top shaman and fights alongside his friends to become the Shaman King. Currently, a new chapter, "SHAMAN KING THE SUPER STAR," is being serialized in "Shonen Magazine Edge" (Kodansha).
It will be adapted into a completely new TV anime in April 2021. Based on "SHAMAN KING" (35 volumes), the series will be drawn to the end.

The recent announcement of additional cast and characters, the first key visual, and the first PV attracted a lot of interest from fans, and now new characters and cast members have been revealed.

Yuji Ueda will play Shaman Horohoro, who moved to Tokyo from Hokkaido to participate in Shaman Fight. Ai Nakajima will play Kororo, Koropokkuru, a spirit of ice and earth who is Horohoro's partner. Cast comments have also arrived.

A shaman who came to Tokyo from Hokkaido for shaman fights. He always wears a hair band or a towel around his forehead, and is always cheerful and hot-blooded. He aspires to become the Shaman King in order to fulfill a certain dream.

Koropokkuru, a spirit of ice and earth, is Horohoro's partner. She has a small body and holds a butterbur like an umbrella. She has the ability to freeze everything in an instant, and fights by manipulating the ice at will. She is very protective of Horohoro, who has been with her all her life.

What is "strength"? What does it mean to truly care for someone? I think this is a work that transcends time and conveys these questions with humor and a comfortable sense of humor. I am always encouraged by Ip-kun's words, "It's going to be all right.

The "SHAMAN KING" is the king of the stars who controls all things in the forest. Those called "Shaman" who can communicate with gods and spirits compete for the title in "Shaman Fight" once every 500 years.
