Puella Magi Madoka Magica" 10th Anniversary Project Begins! Commemorative website opened! Celebratory illustrations by Ume Aoki & congratulatory comments from the main staff and cast are now available!

A new project to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," which began broadcasting on January 7, 2011, has been announced.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica" is an original anime work that depicts the harsh fate of girls who become "magical girls" and fight against the enemies of mankind as the price for fulfilling their wishes.

It was announced that a new project will be launched to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," which began airing on January 7, 2011.

Along with the opening of the commemorative website, a commemorative logo and commemorative illustrations by Ume Aoki, the character designer, have been revealed, and congratulatory comments from the main staff and cast have also arrived.

The commemorative illustrations from illustrators and manga artists are scheduled to be released on the commemorative website in succession.

Ten years. Looking back, the world was a turbulent time. So much so that a life-size Gundam, standing erect and immobile, has started to move. It becomes more and more difficult day by day to recall those days of daily life, when there were no smartphone gadgets or Uber Eats. Still, the excitement of going to Mr. Shaft's conference room while writing the script has not faded away. I am very happy that the outcome of this project is still not forgotten and that it has become a work that allows us to celebrate our 10th anniversary in this way.

I was going back and forth between anticipation and anxiety until the broadcast began in January 2011. I and my staff have no sense that 10 years have passed; it really seems like only yesterday. I still wonder if I did the right thing with those scenes and characters.　I sometimes think that it might be a privilege of original animation to still think about whether those scenes and characters were the right ones.
And I am grateful to all the fans who gave me the happiness to be able to create a work with such feelings again!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica" has been broadcast as a TV series since January 2011 and has become a hot topic.
Director Akiyuki Shimbo, screenwriter Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), and character designer Ume Aoki have created a world where girls and magical girls live in a thrilling, unpredictable world, where the daily lives of cute girls are unpredictable. The visual expression of Shaft, who is in charge of animation production, the avant-garde visuals of Gekidan Inucurry, who designed the different spaces, and the dramatic background music of Yuki Kajiura, who is in charge of music, are all part of the creative team.
The story by the leading creators of the day was highly acclaimed in a wide range of fields.
In 2012, "Part 1: Hajimari no Monogatari" and "[Part 2:] Eien no Monogatari" were released, which are re-edited versions of the TV series in two parts, and in 2013, the completely new "[New Part] Rebellion" was released, becoming the first late-night anime film to gross over 2 billion yen at the box office.
