Megumi Hayashibara will release her best album and "SHAMAN KING" theme song single two months in a row to commemorate the 30th anniversary of her debut as an artist!

Megumi Hayashibara, who is not only a voice actress but also a multi-talented radio personality, lyricist, and essayist, has announced the release of a best-of album commemorating the 30th anniversary of her artist debut and a single containing the theme song from the TV anime "SHAMAN KING.

Megumi Hayashibara has long been a top-class voice actress in terms of both popularity and ability, having voiced characters in numerous popular anime, including Lina-Inverse in "Slayers," Rei Ayanami in "Neon Genesis Evangelion," Musashi in "Pokemon," and Ai Haibara in "Detective Conan. As a singer, she has also made the top 10 of the Oricon charts with her numerous works, and can be said to have played a leading role in making the world aware of the existence of "voice actor artists," which was still a rarity at the time. It has been announced that she will release her best album on March 30, 2021 (Tuesday), her birthday.
The album will include many classic songs as well as newly written songs.

The new single will be released on April 14 (Wed.) and will include the opening and ending themes of the TV anime "SHAMAN KING," for which the artist has already been announced as the theme song artist.

SHAMAN KING" is a very popular comic book series by Hiroyuki Takei that has sold over 35 million copies in total and will be broadcast as a completely new TV anime on TV Tokyo in April 2021, in which Hayashibara herself will appear as Anna Osoreyama.

Details on the songs and visuals for both the best album and single will be announced at a later date. We cannot wait to hear more from the voice actress who continues to be a top runner in the voice acting field.
