The most robot-loving voice actor in the voice-over industry, Yasuyuki Tai, has been playing around with the latest toy toys and hobbies!

In this third installment, we welcome Megatron, our very own Emperor of Destruction. In this third installment of the series, Yasuyuki takes an in-depth look at the latest version of Megatron, one of the most popular Transformers antagonists, and a popular figure among fans as a fearsome but surprisingly generous boss.

Part 3: "Transformers War for Cybertron WFC-07 Megatron" Part 1

From the anime "Transformers : War for Cybertron Trilogy," which just started streaming on Netflix on December 30, 2020, "Chapter II: Earthrise," here is the item we will be introducing this time!

This is the "Transformers War for Cybertron WFC-07 Megatron"!

Megatron is the leader of the Decepticons, an enemy organization that has appeared in the first "Transformers" series. There are no TF fans who don't know his name. This figure of Megatron is designed to remind you of the first movie.

And a smaller Transformer is also included in the package. What is this?

If you look at the back of the package, you can see what is included in the package.

Let's take a look at what's inside.

There is Megatron himself, two weapons, and three effect parts. The small character on the left is a captive lionizer, and the one on the right is a captive pinpointer. This small TF seems to be an Autobot, but "captive" means "prisoner of war," and it seems that it has been captured by the Decepticons as a prisoner of war! What a hard setting!

Of course, an instruction manual is included, and in the manual, there is a drawing explaining the transformation from robot mode to vehicle mode. So, in this article, I dare to introduce the opposite, the transformation from vehicle mode.

The motif of the vehicle mode of this Megatron-sama is a tank. This is a tank form with a lot of surfaces, which shows off the series' unique weathering paint. I think it is very close to the image of the play.

The silhouette looks robust even when viewed from the side. Looking at the side of the vehicle, two joints can be seen on one side and four on the left and right.

The turret can turn 360°. I am amazed that they were able to reproduce the turret turning after transforming from robot mode!

The bottom of the model is shown here, with four wheels for rolling.

Each part has been boldly painted.

If the pinpointers were Decepticon characters, it would be cute to see them play with each other like this, but unfortunately, in this item, they are treated as weapons by Megatron-sama.

Now let's "Transform!"

First, remove the turret.

The turret will become a sword by deploying the blade-like parts forward.

The rear part of the vehicle body is deployed as shown in the foreground.

Unlock with Megatron's waist as shown on the left side of the image, and deploy the legs.

The right side is after deployment. Open the cover part that is the calf and rotate the thigh parts around 180° to unfold the part stored inside the shin, while leaving the Megatron's shin parts facing the same direction.

The legs, which were spread outward on the left and right sides, are straightened and aligned, and the upper body is rotated 180° at the waist. Once the leg parts are in position, close the calf covers.

Unlock the front panel by moving the crawler blocks on the front left and right sides of the vehicle.

Pull the front panel upward while unfolding it.

Lock the front crawler section while folding it as shown on the left side of the image.

Split the turret into left and right sections and deploy them 180° as they are.

When the turret is fully deployed, it is locked in this position.

Deploy the stored wrists.

The shoulder parts are also deformed without forgetting, although it is a small deformation.

The front panel and crawler parts that have just been deployed are moved to the rear side and locked in place with the locks circled in red.

This is what it looks like from the side.

The bazooka on the right arm (I personally like to call it the "fusion cannon") is pointed downwards, and the transformation is complete!

Our Decepticon leader, Megatron, is complete! The silver body shines brightly, and the scars on his body from his many battles give him a dignified appearance.

He carries a crawler on his back and is very powerful.

Oh no! This is Megatron-sama! The shape and color scheme of his face, body and other parts are exactly like Megatron's! The shape of the top of his shoulders is also reminiscent of Megatron's shoulders at the time. They even went to the trouble of transforming this part of the figure to show it off! What a lot of attention to detail!

The weathering on the waist is eye-catching, but the detailed painting on the abdomen and other parts is also highly accurate!

The color scheme of the legs has also been properly reproduced, and the wear rings (or is this a detail?) have also been painted well. The painting is also well done.

Speaking of Megatron, this equipment! It is thrilling to see a design that looks like a handgun scope.

I'm glad to see that the space behind the legs is also less noticeable! Transformers are really amazing these days!

The head has a ball joint connection. The head has a ball-joint connection, and the base of the neck swings up and down.

Shoulders can rotate 90° horizontally and 360° at the shoulder connection axis. The elbows can rotate 90° and the roll axis of the arms can also rotate 360°. This kind of movement is now completely normal, but we should not forget the fact that this is an amazing thing!

The wrists are not necessarily movable ......, but they can be snapped together with the benefit of deformation.

The waist also benefits from deformation and can rotate 180°. However, the back part touches the waist when it exceeds 90°, so it must be avoided.

The base of the legs is also very good as an action figure, and can be moved forward, backward, left, right, and so far. The ankles are also movable inward to contribute to grounding.

In addition, the thighs also have roll axes that can rotate 360°.

The ankles also benefit from deformation and are movable in this way.

There are joints on the back, arms, and legs, allowing the figure to be intertwined with items other than those included.

Now that we have finished introducing the main body, it is time to play with it and ...... no, let's try posing it!
In the next part, in addition to posing, we will try to compare it with the first "Megatron" that I personally own!
Stay tuned!
