It's already been two weeks since the beginning of the year. The winter anime of 2021 have started airing one after another.
There are so many popular works that we can almost hear the cry of "I don't have enough time to watch all the anime! But which works are really drawing the most attention?
The Akiba Research Institute's official poll, "What will you watch next season? Let's find out by looking at the results of the "2021 Winter Anime Popularity Poll" held from December 16, 2020 to December 30, 2020.

Of the top 10, 8 titles are sequels. These are all elite titles that have been competing for the top popularity in each of the seasons broadcast so far. With such big titles all competing against each other, the winter season of 2021 can be said to be one of the most bountiful seasons in recent years.

The quality of the drawings remains at a high level, and it can be seen that the artists have put their heart and soul into portraying the sisters in a cute manner. The fast-paced scenario is also excellent, and again, the workmanship is stable.

Sequels to "Naro" type anime are also strong.
Both "Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd season 2nd half cool" ( 5th) and "Tensei Takera Tada Slymu Datta Koto 2nd season Part 1" ( 6th) have been highly anticipated by many anime fans as they are about to air.

Weekly Shonen Jump" had a great success last year with "Demon Slayer" fever, and the sequels of Jump anime ranked one after another, as if to catch up with and overtake them.
Seventh place went to "World Trigger (2nd season)" ( now moved to "JUMP SQUARE"), the first anime adaptation in five years, and it seems that many fans were eagerly awaiting it. The next most popular titles were "Dr. Stone Stone Wars" at No. 8 and "The Promised Neverland (2nd season)" at No. 10. Although the original comic series of "Neverland (2nd season)" has ended, a live-action movie was released at the end of last year, and a drama will be produced for overseas distribution in the future. It is expected that the contents of the series will become even more exciting in the future.

Tied for 8th place with "Dr. Stone: Stone Wars" was "Hataraku Cell! in eighth place with the same number of votes as "Dr. Stone Stone Wars. This is the second season of the anthropomorphic animation of cells in the human body, which is attracting attention in many ways in this day and age. Watching the anime may boost your immune system! The spin-off "Hataraku Cell BLACK" also ranked in at No. 21. We hope you enjoy this one as well.

Now that we have introduced the sequel titles, "IDOLY PRIDE " (No. 2 ) and"Skate Reading Stars" (No. 4) ranked high, beating out the strong contenders. Both are ensemble dramas featuring many beautiful men and women.
IDOLY PRIDE" tells the story of female idols who are passionate about performing on stage, while "Skate Reading Stars" is a sports drama based on a fictional men's figure skating competition in which a group of five performers compete. Both of the first episodes were not easy to follow, but I am very much looking forward to ...... to see what kind of exciting story will unfold from this point on.
Personally, I have high expectations for "Skate Reading Stars" directed by Toshiki Fukushima, who is known for his sports anime!
