Group's first online countdown announces outdoor live performance in its hometown of Shizuoka, Japan! The group announced that they will be holding an outdoor live concert in their hometown of Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture! Sunshine! Aqours COUNTDOWN LoveLive!

From December 31, 2020 to January 1, 2021 ─ ─. School Idol Project "Love Live! Sunshine! school idol group "Aqours" held their first countdown live from December 31, 2020 to January 1, 2021 in a no-attendance and streaming format.

Last year in 2020, a new coronavirus epidemic broke out and Aqours was unable to hold their tour, but they still continued to cheer up the world with their no-show online live and other events.

It was against this backdrop that this year's "Love Live! SUNSHINE! Aqours COUNTDOWN LoveLive! ~WHITE ISLAND~" should bring more smiles this year than last year!　It was a wonderful live performance that made me want to believe so.

On New Year's Eve, the cold of winter was biting my body.

Due to the current situation, many people were probably spending the night at home, relaxing and staying warm, instead of going outside. While it is nice to feel New Year's Eve while watching the standard TV programs every year, there is something special about enjoying New Year's Eve at Aqours' first online countdown live performance.

Unlike usual live shows, this countdown live started late at 10:30 p.m.

Poepoe the whale, who appeared in the previous online live, swam in the sea to gather the members, and finally flew in the sky to reach WHITE ISLAND. ...... After such an opening movie, the intro of the opening number was played and the sound of bells rang out.

The first song was "Prayer for a Holy Day.

Kanako Takatsuki was absent on this day due to illness, so the performance was given by eight members, but even so, the performance was warm and showed the bond between the nine members.

They continued with "Jingle Bells Can't Stop" and a Christmas song. The audience could feel the Christmas spirit a little late.

In the song "Happy Party Train," in which the vocals were connected one by one, the part sung by Ms. Takatsuki was covered by Hanamaru Kunikida, who is played by Ms. Takatsuki. This is a performance that Aqours, which goes back and forth between anime and real life, is able to pull off, and I felt the emo in it.

In the first MC session, the members introduced themselves as usual. The call and response between the members is now perfect!　I was also moved by Anju Iha's greeting, "The nine of us are Aqours, and our feelings are one. It was interesting to see that the tension of the members was a little higher than usual because today's live was a countdown live at a different time than usual.

They sang "Aozora Jumping Heart" with such passion that even the big snowman set up on the stage melted, and Poepoe joined in the excitement by glowing colorfully under the stage.

As the whole venue turned into the color of the sea and dolphins danced, Aqours climbed on the back of Poepoe and said, "With Poepoe, full speed ahead, yosoro" and slowly advanced to the center stage. (*By the way, this part at the center stage was a pre-recorded part with costume changes, so Ms. Takatsuki joined the performance.)

At the center stage, "Love Live! Sunshine! Duo Trio Collection CD VOL.2 WINTER VACATION"!　Each of them enlivened the audience with different types of winter songs.

First, "Party! Party! PaPaPaPaParty!" by Chika, Dia and Zeko (unit name "Tenka Muso Unlimited Fantasista") featured a cheerful conversation among the three in the outro.

Hanamaru and Ruby (unit name "Junjo Karen Angel Kiss") cheered up the audience with their cute performance of "Kimochi to Yume mo Tomoni Dakimoni" ("We're in this together! Riko & Yoh's (unit name: "Dancing Fairy") "Misty Frosty Love," and Kanan & Mari's (unit name: "Stardust Ocean") "Before Tears Become Snow," which showed a sad yet emo performance using a stand microphone. The last song of the block was "Tears Become Snow".

In the last song of the block, "Nada ga Yuki ni Naru Narimae (Before Tears Become Snow)," a moving scene from the 9th episode of the first season of the anime was shown in the background, in which Kanan and Mari's feelings for each other, which had crossed paths, came together to fill the two-year gap between them. I was again moved by this performance.

After a costume change, the eight members sang "Immature Dreamer" (inserted in the 9th episode of the first season), the first song sung by all nine members of Aqours in the drama after the above mentioned third-year students' quarrels were resolved. It was a perfect flow from the previous song, giving a sense of drama!　The fireworks display in episode 9 was also beautiful, and the performance of Aqours singing on the wintery stage with the fireworks in the background was fantastic and wonderful. All the elements came together to create a moving song.

By the way, if this block starts with "Immature Dreamer," I would like to see it start with Kanan & Mari's duet song! This was the setlist proposed by Arisa Komiya, and fans on SNS were very excited about it.

After filling the audience's hearts with various emotions, during the MC, in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the formation of Aqours, "Love Live! Sunshine! will be held for the first time outdoors in Shizuoka, the stage of "Love Live! The date and time is May 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun), 2021. The event will be held at the Tsumagoi Resort in Shizuoka. Since it will be outdoors, the members were hoping for good weather.

While they were having such an exchange, there were less than 10 minutes left until 2021. Mr. Iha said, "This is the last song we will sing in 2020! ZERO to ONE", which was a perfect song to mark the one-year milestone from 2020 to 2021, and the members sang "Let's open the door from zero to one" with full of energy.

When the song was over, everyone waited until the moment the year was over. They all jumped up and down in the air, and with the joy of the New Year, they said, "Happy birthday, Dia-san! and congratulated Kurosawa Dia, whose birthday is January 1.

Then they sang "Thrilling One Way" as the New Year's fireworks shot over the entire venue in the video!　The following song "MY Mai TONIGHT" had a Japanese taste that was perfect for New Year's Day.

The last song was "Future Flight. The lyrics, "Wait for what will start from now on, something beyond your imagination," touched the hearts of the audience because Aqours has faced various adversities this year.

Aqours will not stop in 2021!

We haven't given up on meeting everyone and performing at bigger venues, and I am sure that in May, a view beyond our imagination will be waiting for us. Until then, I hope all 9 of us will keep going forward with one heart.
