The cast of "Rikei Koi" gathered for a quiz, a reading play, and a lot of fun! Special Event "A science student fell in love and I tried to prove it. Research Presentation" LUNCH SESSION REPORT

TV anime "A science student fell in love and tried to prove it." It has been almost two months since the production of the second season was announced. For those of you who can't wait for more news, we would like to share with you a report on the special event "Rikei ga Koi ni Tsuite De Shikkaku Kara Shitei Mita" (The Science Guy Fell in Love and Proved It) held on October 17, 2020. We have received a report on the event and comments from Yuma Uchida (who plays Shinya Yukimura) and Ten Amemiya (who plays Shobu Himuro)!

Fans gathered in front of Nissho Hall, the venue of the event, one after another in the pouring rain. Most events this summer had to refrain from holding events to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, but the number of infected people had calmed down a bit around the event date, and the event was held without incident thanks to measures such as requiring audience members to wear masks, prohibiting vocalizations, and seating people at a distance from each other. I was very happy to be able to participate in this event.

Many of the audience had not attended an anime event for a long time. The cast included Yuma Uchida (Shinya Yukimura), Ten Amemiya (Shobu Himuro), Natsuko Hara (Kotoba Kanade), Himasa Omori (Ena Sukita), Jun Fukushima (Torasuke Inukai), Ryutaro Okiayu (Professor Ikeda), Yui Ogura (Arika Yamamoto) and Momo Asakura (Rikekuma)! I think an indescribable sense of tension and uncontrollable elation swirled among the audience as they waited for the event to begin.

This time, I will report on the daytime portion of the event, which was held twice, once during the day and once at night.

The world of "rikekoi" enjoyed through data!

When it was time for the show to start, all the cast members appeared on stage. As she greeted the audience, Ms. Amemiya said, "It's been a while since I've been at an event with the audience in front of me, so I'm very nervous," and I'm sure everyone felt the same way. I'm going to enjoy today's event! The event started off with a positive atmosphere of "Let's enjoy today's event!

The first project was "Rikekoi in Numbers. The staff reviewed all 12 episodes of the anime many times, and the cast discussed the numbers derived from the rewiews.

26" = "the number of graphs that appeared in the show," "4000" = "the approximate number of calories in the food Kanade ate," "4" = "the number of times Professor Ikeda became muscular," "8" = "the number of times Himuro's ponytail flipped," "23" = "the number of experiments," etc., all of which impressed the audience with how well they were researched. I was impressed by how well the data was researched. The data were so detailed that even Mr. Fukushima was surprised and said, "You looked it up? I was surprised.

A breakdown of the experiments revealed that from episode 6, there was a series of experiments related to kissing and saliva. The results made him blurt out, "If you don't know the content of the work, it seems like a crazy anime ......." He then added, "In a good way! He followed that up with, "In a good way! I don't know if that's a follow-up or not," he commented.

In this project, when asked if he remembered the relationship between Yukimura and Himuro in the beginning of the anime, Uchida replied, "Yes, I do." Uchida answered, "They had been in love with each other since the beginning, so I felt like I was being shown that all the time. Hara added, "I wonder if they had a hard time creating that (lovey-dovey) distance from the first episode." Uchida said, "They wanted to convince us that they liked each other, so they used that roundabout way to prove it, but Ten and I were like, 'How do you express this? ......?' Amemiya recalled the gap between the two, saying, "There was a gap between the flirting and the sudden shift to science mode," and "I had to show that I was used to saying [science terms].

Next up was the "Rikekoi Maniac Quiz.

Next was a quiz on the hidden 2.2% of the evidence in the pie chart that shows the percentage of the evidence that proves that Himuro likes Yukimura. and "What did Torasuke spend for Aika, 15,800 yen out of 227,542 yen, on?" The quizzes were again full of questions like "What did Torasuke buy for Aika?

As for the "2.2% item," Okiayu said, "It would be fun to do a contrast together. Asakura answered, "I want to sniff it. The conversation began to take on the appearance of a comedy show, and the stage was abuzz with excitement. The talk became so heated that there was even a moment when the two exchanged comments without using the microphone.

The audience responded with applause instead of shouting. The event had reached its midpoint, and both the performers and the audience seemed to be getting into the swing of things.

Due to time constraints, the quiz ended after two questions, and the winner of the second question, "How much money did Torasuke spend," with 100 million points (the correct answer, by the way, was a hug pillow cover), received a souvenir from Okinawa.

A moving finale with a reading and live performance!

The second half of the event featured a reading by the entire cast, all of whom were dressed in white and became the characters themselves, not only in voice and inside, but also in appearance.

The play depicted Ken Ikeda's experiment to see who could say the line that would thrill Yukimura and Himuro the most, and it was a test of his skills as a voice actor as well as a character actor.

Personally, I wanted to copy perfectly the series of lines that Himuro shouted in the last episode, "Let me make it up to you! I would like to say "Good job! I would like to say "Good job!

In addition, the audience was delighted to hear Himuro's cute voice that became infantile at the sound of Yukimura's sweet lines, and the uncharacteristically good-looking voice of Professor Ikeda saying, "Be mine, Himuro!

Toward the end of the talk part, the long-awaited decision to produce the second season of "Rikekoi" was announced, and the excitement of the audience reached a climax.

In response to the happy news, Ms. Uchida commented, "I can't help but look forward to the new proof that we will be able to go on from here. Ms. Amemiya also commented, "I am looking forward to the recording sessions we will do together. I'm looking forward to proving it again with these members! and expressed her expectations for the second season of the project.

The finale of the event was a live performance of the opening theme "PARADOX" by Ten Amamiya. Ms. Amemiya, dressed in a tight skirt reminiscent of Himuro, said she was nervous because "it's been a long time since I sang in front of everyone," but when she sang the song, the choreography was perfect! She sang with a groove, and the audience was thrilled.

The entire cast appeared on stage again and sang the ending theme song "Turing Love" to the excitement of the audience. The audience clapped their hands in excitement as the cast members shouted their hands in unison! The climax of the event was an explosion of anticipation for the second season and joy at the success of the "Rikekoi" event.

Finally, here are comments from Yuma Uchida and Ten Amemiya after the event!

Interview with Yuma Uchida and Ten Amemiya after the event!

Thank you very much for your hard work! How was this event?

Uchida: It was fun to crosstalk with them. We were separated by an acrylic board, but it is rare to have direct conversation with everyone, even in recording sessions nowadays.

Amemiya That's right. At most, four people could gather in the studio. The rest of us record separately at different times, which is the current style, so it was certainly interesting to be able to talk with everyone. I think the other cast members also felt that way. (I remember Mr. Jun (Fukushima) was aggressively coming forward (laughs). (Laughs) I thought communication was great, and I could feel the teamwork that is the Ikeda Lab.

Uchida Yes. I was glad to be able to feel that.

─ ─ At the end of the event, the second season was announced.

Uchida: I was told about the second season during the rehearsal of the event (laughs). So I asked, "Really? (laugh). The good thing about "Rikekoi" is that it depicts how Yukimura and Himuro spend their time together after everyone around them knows that they like each other. In other works, I think the story is often about "what will happen to them in the end? In "Rikekoi," even though we know the ending, we can smile or laugh a little during the process, thinking, "This is how we feel when we like each other. It is a work that warms the heart. I am sure that in the second season, there will be many scenes in which we watch over the love between students and say, "Let's get together soon!

Amemiya I'm glad that we will be able to see more of Ken Ikeda's very smart or not-so-smart activities. Himuro also has many sides to him, from cool and cool to drunk and cute, so it will be fun to see what kind of expressions he will show us in the future. I also love all the members of Ikeda Kenkyukai, and all the characters make me want to root for them. In the second season, I think we will be able to delve more deeply into the individual characters, and I am looking forward to seeing more in-depth stories about the pairs.

─ ─ Thank you very much!
