Watch out for Ayachi, who is energetically active in Corona Disaster.

I feel like I've grown up," she says.

─ The new song "Dear Dear" was written by Mito of Clammbon, who wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and was in charge of the overall sound production. Mito-san is also active in the field of anime songs, and he and Taketatsu-san have a close relationship.

Taketatsu-san: I first met Mito-san during the band recording of the 2nd single "Alice in the Country" (released in September 2012), and I was in the position of being invited to the instrumental recording, so I just said hello. The first time I was asked to contribute a song was for "AWARENESS" (composition and arrangement) for the 3rd album "Lyrical Concerto," and we have continued to work together on character songs for other works, and I was invited to a live performance by Clammbon, so we have had a long relationship, leading up to this time. We have been working together for a long time, and we were invited to a live performance by Clammbon.

─ What is your impression of Mito's music?

Taketatsu: I think your personality is the same, but your songs are also powerful and persuasive. For me, this single is the first song after entering my 30s, and I wanted to make a new start, so I am very happy that Mito-san produced the sound.

─ ─ What kind of discussions did you have with Mito-san when you were working on the song?

Taketatsu: At first, I told him that I wanted to express myself as I really am. In the past, most of my songs have expressed cuteness in a well-developed worldview, but this time I wanted to look at myself again and express my unadorned self.

─ ─ So you have undergone various changes in your mindset.

Taketatsu: Now that I am an adult, I think I am less overly concerned about my surroundings than I used to be. Before, I was so concerned about people's reactions and evaluations that I was trying my best to express myself in a way that everyone wanted me to. However, when I reached my late twenties, I sort of opened up (laughs). I had time to reflect on myself, and I began to feel that I should do what I wanted to do at my own pace. Of course, I still love cute things, and I love the fluffy and sweet world of frills and lace, but I have also become attracted to more mature things. I realized that my tastes and interests change as I get older and more experienced.

─ ─ In terms of your tastes, how have they changed?

Taketatsu: The things I like at the base of my life have not changed, but for example, in fashion, I used to never wear long skirts. I am short, so it was hard for me to find balance, and in many cases they didn't fit me, so I didn't wear them, but recently I really like them. I've been trying to figure out how to make them look more balanced, and I've been enjoying wearing long skirts with them. I've also started wearing leather boots, and I feel like I've become an adult (laughs). My interests in cosmetics have also changed, and I have also started cooking and making accessories.

─ Are you making accessories by hand?

Taketatsu Yes, I make my own accessories by putting beads in resin and hardening them, and connecting them with chains. I often make accessories based on the images of the works or characters I have appeared in, and when I show them off on live broadcasts or at events, fans are always happy to see them, so it gives me a sense of pride. I am especially happy when girls tell me how cute I am, so I upload pictures to my Instagram and Twitter feeds.

─ ─ So, through all these changes, you decided to express yourself as an artist in your own life, not with a made-up worldview.

Taketatsu That's right. I wanted to express something natural, something that came from within my current self.
