The synopsis, advance cuts, and preview movie of episode 42 of the TV anime "Re:Zero kara Hajimete Isekai Seikatsu" 2nd season, which has been airing since January 6, 2021 (Wednesday), have been released. It was also announced that the stage of "Re:Zero kara Hajimari no Isekai Seikatsu" will be distributed at "KADOKAWA Light Novel EXPO 2020".

The TV anime "Re:Zero kara Hajimaru Isekai Seikatsu" (commonly known as "Re:Zero") aired in 2016 and was a huge hit in Japan and abroad. After that, two completely new OVAs were released in theaters, and a "new edited version" of the TV anime broadcast in 2016 was re-edited to one hour with new cuts added, the first half of the 2nd season of the TV anime was broadcast for the first time in four years from July 2020. The second half of the second season began airing in January 2021.

<Synopsis>
Emilia takes on the first ordeal and arrives in the Great Forest of Eriol, where she used to live. She smiles at Echidna, who sarcastically asks her how she can show her face after such an abomination, and Emilia retorts that she will not give in to the malice of the same witch. The two proceed deeper into the forest and come to a large tree towering over an open area. At the base of the tree is a small door with a bolt, which they say is the princess's room where the young Emilia used to play.
