The "Pokémon Movie Series No. 1 Championship" has started! The No. 1 film in each series will be distributed on February 7 (Sun.)

Pokémon Coco the Movie" has surpassed one million viewers. To commemorate the blockbuster hit, "Let's decide together! Pokémon Movie Series No. 1!" was launched.

This is the 23rd Pokémon movie since "Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back" in 1998. Set in the jungle, this film is a story of an unprecedented bond between a boy, Coco, who was raised by Pokémon, and a Pokémon, Zardoz, who raised Coco, depicting the love between parent and child.


The role of Coco, a 10-year-old boy torn between Pokémon and humans, is played by Moeka Kamihiraishi. Nakamura Kankuro, who assumed the name Nakamura Kankuro VI in 2012, plays the role of Zalud, a fantastic Pokémon who breaks the laws of the forest to raise a human baby he finds in the forest.

The latest Pokémon movie "Pokémon Coco the Movie" was released on December 25th (Friday) last year and already drew more than 1 million viewers. To commemorate the blockbuster success of "Coco," a project has been decided to ask fans to vote for the best Pokémon movie series they would like to see again from among all the Pokémon movies released to date. The top five films from each series will be available to watch online.


Vote for your favorite film from each series (19 films in all): Pokémon the Movie, Pokémon: Advance Generation, Pokémon: Diamond Pearl, Pokémon: Best Wishes, and Pokémon the Movie XY. Vote for your favorite film from each series.

The film decided as the No. 1 in each series will be distributed all together on YouTube [from 12:00 p.m. on February 7 (Sun.), 2012]. This is the first time in the history of Pokémon movies that the distribution of the films from different series is being attempted.

<Story.

Deep in the jungle, far from human habitation. Deep in the jungle, far from human habitation, there is a paradise for Pokémon, the Okoya Forest, protected by a strict code.
One day, stubborn Zarudo (voice: Nakamura Kankuro), who lives there with his friends, finds a human baby by the river.

Zarudo, unable to abandon the baby, decides to name her Koko (voice: Moka Kamihiraishi), against the law of the forest, and they leave the herd to live together.
They decide to leave the pack and live together.
It has been 10 years since Pokémon began their life raising humans. Coco meets Satoshi and Pikachu, who come to the Okoya Forest. They are the first "ningen friends" she has ever had.
Coco, who had never doubted that she was a Pokémon, gradually begins to have doubts in her mind.
