Build a plastic kit of popular Digimon! Let's build "Figure-rise Standard Amplified Omegamon"! YU-GO's Character Modeling LABO Vol. 4

YU-GO's Character Modeling LABO" The 4th issue is Bandai Spirits "Figure-rise Standard Amplified Omegamon"!

The first appearance of Omegamon in the movie "Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! may still leave a strong impression on many people 20 years after the movie's release. The overwhelming strength of the ultimate body, born from the wishes of children all over the world, is both divine and gentle.

Easy to assemble, this kit is a cool masterpiece!

The box art is based on the image of the moment of firing the Gull Cannon. The dynamic pose is also very cool! Now let's open the box.

The contents of the box are as shown here. Colorful parts and clear parts are included. The white parts are molded by gloss injection and look beautiful.

I put it together right away. The figure is an "AMPLIFIED series that "amplifies" the charm of the character based on respect for the original work," and it is arranged in a very cool way in three dimensions.

The figure has a wide range of movement and can even be posed as it first appeared!

The mold is also finely detailed, and the color-coding of the chest area is reproduced with a separate part. Under the red clear part of the left shoulder brave shield, a mold that looks like a "Crest of Courage" is engraved.

The overall proportions are good and the assembly is smooth, so you can enjoy it even unassembled, but this time I will try to make some modifications to keep the points in mind.

Partial processing makes it even cooler and more beautiful!

First, cut off the slit part of the base part of the chest once, and process the Evergreen plastic sheet and glue it.

The ear part of the right arm's Gull Cannon is a conspicuous part, so cover it with a plastic sheet.

The barrel of the Gull Cannon was modified and a light from a hundred-yen store was incorporated.

The parts of the toenails and knees were also modified to have sharp angles.

The coolness of the figure is determined by creating "attractive places" in each part.

The material used for the extension and sharp angles this time was "Alteko CA-07 [strong instant adhesive, high cutting ability, medium viscosity]. This was mixed with Kreos Mr. Instant Adhesive Putty (SSP) powder. I recommend it because it has good bite and cutting ability!

The cloak of the arranged design is also good, but the image of the first appearance was still strong, so I decided to go all out and make a full scratch.

The material used was "Art Clay Fund Soft". The design is arranged to have a sense of movement.

If you make a cape, you can make this too! ......, I also made "Taichi Yagami" and "Yamato Ishida". They are sculpted with epoxy putty.

To create a divine image, the entire figure was coated with "GSI Creos Mr. Crystal Color Sapphire Blue". The arms were painted with "DIVA CANDY Honey Orange" and "DIVA CANDY Estonian Blue" after painting with gloss black and airbrushing with "SHOW UP Custom Color Series Base Color Cosmic Silver". Painted. The coloring turned out just as I imagined.

Completed! The entire surface is pearl coated to bring out the gloss injection, but it is basically a suffless paint job.

Bust shot. The face part is slightly modified. The neck is also slightly extended. The corner parts have also been modified to give a sharp impression. The crystal part in the center has been changed to a clear part, so it shines beautifully.

Back shot. After pearl coating, we applied a smear finish. I used "GSI Creos Mr. Weatherization Color Filter Liquid Layer Violet" because it was too noisy if I used black color and I wanted to make it closer to the image in the movie.

It has a wide range of movement. The flashy action poses are also perfectly done.

The detailed paint job is well done to create a tight finish. For the left arm (Wargreymon), we changed the silver texture for each part of the horns and applied a candy paint job to give it a biological feel.

The mouth of the right arm (Metal Gullumon) is also detailed with diverted parts. It is one of the pleasures of model making to build the smallest details.

The flipped over cape still looks great! (It takes a lot of time and effort to process, but you can see it at ......)

Launching the Gull Cannon! This is the point where we want to make it shine. Since "multi-color LED light" is used, it glows in various colors!

The highlight of this example! Taichi and Yamato ♡ I couldn't leave out the "Chosen Children," so I really wanted to do it here.

How about it?

Omegamon has appeared from the beginning of "Digimon Adventure:", which is currently being broadcast to rave reviews, and is highly popular throughout the ages, but at the time of its theatrical release, I had no idea that I would be in charge of creating examples 20 years later.

I have a lot of feelings about Digimon, so I wanted to do that one too! I want to do this too! I wanted to do this and that, and the article ended up being quite dense. I hope readers enjoyed it as much as I did.

See you again in the next sample article!
