Cast Comments
Yuichiro Umehara (Seiryu Kamiki)
Q1: What is your impression of this film?
When I read the original story, I could see the snowy landscape of Tsugaru and felt as if I could hear the sound of Tsugaru shamisen.
I think that even those who are not familiar with the Tsugaru shamisen will enjoy this work.
The characters surrounding Snow are full of humanity, and the way they lead him through his obsession with the shamisen is interesting, and I was pleasantly surprised at how the story continued to unfold.
I think the Tsugaru dialect and the sound of the shamisen are delicately expressed in the anime as well, so I am sure that fans of the original will be satisfied with the story.
Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
The character I play, Kamiki Seiryu, is a person who is obsessed with the shamisen, just like Yuki. His love for the shamisen is so insane that he is a genius.
I enjoyed playing him and envied his devotion to one thing and another.
I hope you will witness how his encounter with Snow influences each other and how his emotions are exposed.
Yu Hatanaka (Soichi Tanuma)
Q1: What is your impression of this work?
I am only a performer, but there are many new discoveries and sympathies scattered throughout the story that really drew me into the story! The further I read, the more deeply I was drawn into the story! I thought it was a work that condensed the passion and freshness of their young youth, as they pursue what they truly love to do!
I am really looking forward to seeing them playing the shamisen so vividly in the anime!
Q2: Could you tell us about your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for the role?
Soichi Tanuma was a person who was free and honest to the end of the line. His greed for what he loves and his naturalistic attitude are both terrifying and make you feel his talent is bottomless. He was truly a fascinating person. When it was decided that I would play him, I thought, "Oh my God, what am I going to do?" But I did my best to be him and stand in front of the microphone at my own pace! Please give me your best regards!
Mikami Eri (Playing the role of Mai Tanuma)
Q1: Could you tell us your impression of the film?
I couldn't take my eyes off of Yuki-kun, who came to Tokyo and faced the Tsugaru shamisen while struggling with changes in people and environment.
Also, I could really hear the sound of the Tsugaru shamisen during the performance scenes, which made my heart tremble every time. (I'm also looking forward to seeing what the atmosphere will be like when the actual sound is added in the anime!)
) I also learned a lot about the Tsugaru shamisen through the detailed descriptions, and I felt that once you read this work, you will be gripped by its charms.
Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
She is a girl with a straight passion for Tsugaru Shamisen.
She is very competitive with Yuki, and I think she is very cool.
On a personal note, I once wanted to make a demo tape in Tsugaru dialect and used Mai's lines as a reference. A few years later, it's like a dream come true to be able to perform it this time!
The Tsugaru dialect that Mai-chan uses has always been a part of my own life, so I hope I can pursue its realism and incorporate it into Mai-chan.
I will do my best! (I'll do my best!)
Rikako Aida (Playing the role of Yuna Tachiki)
Q1: What is your impression of this work?
I felt the power of this book as if I could hear the sound of shamisen. And the part where Snow's heart melts as she meets various people is very heartwarming.
I am very excited to see how the shamisen performance scenes, which are the best part of this work, will be depicted in the anime!
Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
The character I play, Yuna, seems to have a strong heart but is actually a very sensitive girl.
She is so dedicated to her dreams that I felt like I was watching myself in the past when I was recording the scene. I hope I was able to express her serious side well.

Nice to meet you, I am BURNOUT SYNDROMES and I am in charge of the opening theme song! In "Mashiro no Otoko", the main character Sawamura Yuki's mind and environment changes dynamically, and the two OPs express that transition. The song "BLIZZARD" is about lonely Snow in the middle of winter, and "Ginsekai" is about him meeting his friends and running off into spring. Please look forward to the song, which is a great success!

It was a great honor for me to be in charge of the ending theme song for "Mashiro no Otoko".
The song would not have been possible without the sound of the Tsugaru shamisen,
I am very grateful to the Yoshida Brothers for their collaboration.
The sounds played by the Yoshida Brothers are the very essence of the emotions of life, and I tried my best to express the message I received from the original story in the music as well. I hope you enjoy the ending theme song as well.
