A new key visual from the fifth season of the TV anime "My Hero Academia," which will begin airing on March 27 (Saturday), has been revealed.

My Hero Academia," a.k.a. "Hero Academia," is a popular manga series serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) by Kohei Horikoshi, and has sold more than 30 million copies in total. Set in a world where the existence of people with supernatural abilities called "personalities" is commonplace, the main character, Midoriya Izuhisa, a.k.a. "Deku," defends society and fights against criminals who misuse their personalities, known as "enemies. In order to become a hero who protects society and stands up against "villains," criminals who abuse their individuality, he grows up together with his friends at Yuuei High School, a prestigious school for training heroes.

Five years have passed since the TV anime series started airing in April 2016, and in 2021, the "5th anniversary year", the 5th season, the latest TV anime series, will start airing every Saturday evening at 5:30 pm on YTV and NTV 29 stations nationwide network on March 27 (Saturday).

The latest key visual for the series has been unveiled. The theme of this visual, which was drawn by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, who has been in charge of character design since the first season of the anime Hiroaka, is the "Yuuei High School Hero Class A vs Class B Battle," which will first unfold in the fifth season. The visual depicts a total of 19 characters, including the main character Deku from Class A, Neito Monoma, the main character from Class B, and the only one from the regular course to participate in the tournament and cause turmoil in the tournament.

In creating the visuals, Mr. Umakoshi commented, "In addition to Deku, there is a large selection of children who show impressive performances, but all of them have their own showcase. I would like them all to be in the group picture, but that is not the case. Still, Kohei Horikoshi's group pictures always convey the feeling that he wants all the children to be there. I hope I was able to bring out that feeling, even if only a little. What kind of activities will Class 1A, Class B, and Shin Misao have in the anime? In 2021, the 5th season of the TV anime will start airing on March 27 (Sat), the first exhibition of the original work "My Hero Academia: DRAWING SMASH" will open on April 23 (Fri), and in summer the 3rd anime movie version, for which the original author, Kohei Horikoshi, is the general supervisor and character designer, will be shown nationwide.
