The support characters "Santenzi" are three unique ancestors who protect Arthur. They have come down from the heavens and can help Arthur with their three different types of magic.

All santenji float in the air and can use shot attacks in addition to their own magic. When damaged by an enemy, they enter a "soul" state for a while, but after a while they can be revived as many times as they like.
The only way to use this feature is if the 1P player has turned on the 2P play setting.

Protects Arthur by putting up a barrier. The barrier can also damage enemies who touch it, but if you move too far away from Arthur, the barrier will be removed.
