Kenjiro Tsuda's wife is Shizuka Ito and his prefect is Kazuyuki Okitsu! Netflix anime "Kyokushudo" will be available on Thursday, April 8!

The Netflix original anime series "Kyokushudo" will begin exclusive worldwide distribution on April 8, 2021 (Thursday). The trailer, additional cast members, theme song information, etc. have been released.

The anime adaptation of "Kyokushufudo" will be broadcast on Netflix in the spring of 2021! Kenjiro Tsuda will continue to play the role of Ryu, a former Kyokudo "househusband"!

This work is based on the popular comic by Kosuke Ono. It is an at-home gag comedy that depicts the daily life of Ryu, an ex-gokudo who once left behind many legends in the underworld, as a full-time househusband. The main character Ryu is played by Kenjiro Tsuda, a popular voice actor, actor, and narrator, and the film is directed by Chiaki Kon, who has worked on a number of popular works including the TV anime "Nodame Cantabile" and the film version of "Sailor Moon Eternal".

In addition to the distribution date, Shizuka Ito will play Ryu's wife, Miku, and Kazuyuki Okitsu will play Ryu's former apprentice, Masashi. In addition, the trailer, key art, and scene photos have been unveiled, and the theme songs, "Shufunomichi" (opening theme) and "Kyoku, Husband and Wife Road" (ending theme), written by Dakko-Gokumon Doyokukai for this anime, have been selected.

Look out for Kenjiro Tsuda's "preview-only" lines!Production struggled to create an "anime like manga"⁉

Kyokushudo" written by Kosuke Ono has sold more than 3.3 million copies (as of 1/19) and was dramatized into a live-action TV drama last year, attracting a great deal of attention. The long-awaited anime adaptation of this work, which is currently attracting the most attention in Japan.
The main character is Ryu, a former Gokudo (a kind of Buddhist priest) who was once feared as an "immortal dragon" and is now a full-time househusband who has mastered the art of house-husbandry. Ryu makes homemade lunches for his wife Miku, who is busy working from morning to night, and uploads them on SNS. He also makes sure to keep up with the neighborhood association. Despite his ex-gokudo-like behavior, the film depicts his daily life at home with a sense of humor.

The trailer is filled with scenes that capture the atmosphere of the original manga. One of them is the "motionless" direction of the film, which is designed to look like the frame layout of a comic book. This is a new kind of animation that combines a "yurukawa" style of artwork that feels tactile and is a far cry from the 3DCG and smooth artwork of today, with the actors' earnest "kakko-komi" acting.
Director Kon commented on the direction of the film, saying, "The producer told me, 'Make an animation like a manga! Never move! It was very difficult and hard work. ...... It would have been easier to make it look like a cartoon! There were many hardships that we usually don't have to go through... It was not an easy work. It was not an easy job at all," he revealed.

Mr. Ohno also commented on the exquisite balance between images and acting, "I was a little surprised when I first heard about it. When I saw the finished film, I felt that it was a technique that matched the fast-paced, furious pace of the work. I felt that the limited materials used in the production allowed for a variety of presentation and direction, and did not detract from the speed of the gags. I also think that the voice actors' performances come across directly in the film, which I think will make it enjoyable.

The trailer also includes a special line from Kenjiro Tsuda's character, Ryu, which can only be heard in the trailer: "Netfull, you're really doing an acrobatic business," which is not in the film.

The trailer is filled with playful dialogue from the staff and cast, which is sure to heighten anticipation for the film.

Shizuka Ito and Kazuyuki Okitsu have been cast as Ryu's wife and former apprentice, respectively! The theme song is sung by Utsukushi-Gokumon Doyokukai!

The theme song is by Dakkeshugokumon Dokyokai! Ryu's wife, Miku, will be played by Shizuka Ito, who has played many popular characters including Minako Aino (Sailor Venus) in the "Sailor Moon Crystal" TV anime series. Ms. Ito, who plays Miku, the fast-paced wife who is unfazed by Ryu's coquettishness, says of Miku's charms, "Miku is a devastating and destructive cook, but I can't get enough of her nostalgia for Tacchan, who she says is cute.

And the role of Masashi, Ryu's former apprentice, is played by Kazuyuki Okitsu, known for his voice as Toratetsu Hachisuka in the game "Sword Dance" and Jonathan Joestar, the main character in the TV anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Mr. Okitsu, who plays the role of Masa, who looks up to Ryu as his big brother, said, "Masa looks up to Ryu's big brother with all his heart! He is so amazing! I can't tell you how great he is! I definitely want you to see it! I want you to see it for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The two actors, Miku and Masashi, are sure to bring a lot of slapstick to Ryu's daily life.

In addition, the theme song will be sung by Dakkugokumon Doyokkai, a popular full-fledged rock band. Despite their name, the band's appeal lies in their songs that are full of life, with lyrics about favorite foods and the trivial feelings they experience in their daily lives.

Please pay attention to the lyrics, which include Ryu's hardships as a househusband and his determination to protect his family. The song is sure to make everyone chuckle at the daily lives of the unique characters, including Ryu, who has washed his hands of the "kyokudo" (a Japanese gangster) and is now mastering the path of the strongest full-time househusband, his wife Miku, and his former apprentice Masa. The at-home, everyday gag comedy "Kyokushufudo" will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Netflix from April 8 (Thu.)!
