The third series of the TV anime "Kingdom" will finally begin airing on April 4 (Sun.) from 24:10, about a month before the start of the broadcast, and the second main PV has been released. In addition, a four-week interview program will begin in the March 4 (Thu.) issue of "Weekly Young Jump" as a special program just before the broadcast.

This is a TV animation of the manga "Kingdom" by Yasuhisa Hara, which is serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The original comics have sold over 70 million copies, and the first live-action movie was a huge hit in April 2019, becoming a social phenomenon.
The story is set in China during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period and follows the adventures of a boy named Nobu (CV: Seiichi Morita), who aspires to become a great general, and a young king named Eisei (CV: Jun Fukuyama), who later becomes the first emperor of China. The second series aired from June 2013 to March 2014.
The third series depicts the Gasshogun Arc, which is said to be the largest scale battle in the history of "Kingdom," and will begin airing in April 2020. The broadcast of the fifth and later episodes had been postponed, but the first episode will be broadcast on NHK Sogo from 24:10 on April 4, 2021 (Sunday).
Second Main PV Released
With about a month to go before the start of the broadcast, the second main PV depicting the epic battle of the Qin Dynasty vs. the United Forces in this series has been released.
The Battle of Kangkokgan broke out due to the attack of the United Forces, a coalition of the six kingdoms of Chuxu, Zhao, Wei, Yan, Han, and Qi. The PV is filled with scenes of fierce battles between generals such as Nobu and Yi Dong vs. the Zhao army and Mengwu vs. the Chuxian army, giving the viewer a sense of the scale of this battle, which is said to be the "greatest battle in history".
The approaching combined armies, destruction or survival? Will Nobu and Yuzei be able to protect the State of Qin? Expectations are high for the "Battle of the Rebellion," where fierce battles beyond fierce will unfold.
