Interview] Kiyono Anno releases new single "Felicita/echoes". She sings about the world of "ARIA The CREPUSCOLO".

Voice actress and artist Kiyono Anno will release her third single "Felicita/echoes" on March 3, 2021.
These are the opening and ending themes for the completely new anime "ARIA The CREPUSCOLO," and are two songs that color the world of the work. The ARIA disc with an anime jacket contains "Ikiru" and the KIYONO disc with her own jacket contains an acoustic version of "Natsuiro Hanabi" as coupling tracks. You can fully enjoy her gentle singing voice in this single!

I think "ARIA" is a work that perfectly combines the worldview, characters, and music.

─ ─ The anime series of "ARIA" started in October 2005, which was already 15 years ago. Did you see this work, Yasuno-san?

Yasuno: Actually, I had never seen it before I was asked to sing. I am watching it right now from the very first series. When the first series, "ARIA The ANIMATION," started 15 years ago, I was the least anime-watching person in my life. But I knew that there was a legendary work called "ARIA" that pioneered the healing anime for girls.

───What did you think when you actually saw it?

Yasuno: I felt as if I was melting into the world of "ARIA," and I thought it was an animation that was experienced rather than seen. The world is three-dimensional, and the images, the play, and the music are all one. I think there are few works that have such a sense of immersion as "ARIA.

─ ─ Indeed, the worldview, characters, and music are all beautifully integrated.

Yasuno: I thought the work conveyed "love" through it. The love for the work, the love for one's partner and customers, and the love for the city come through strongly in this work, which is an overflowing hymn to the people and the city.

─ ─ It is the story of Undine, a tourist guide, so her love for the city is even stronger.

Yasuno: She is in a position to tell people that "there are so many wonderful landscapes here. If I had seen "ARIA" when I was in junior high or high school, I might have thought, "I want to work like Undine," instead of "I want to be a voice actor. It is wonderful to have a job where you can find something wonderful in everyday life and share it with others. ARIA, which I have encountered now that I am an adult, has taught me how to face and respect my work and my workmates. I think there are many things to learn from this work. Of course, the latest work, "ARIA The CREPUSCOLO," also contains many messages about how to deal with people, and it is a very precious work.

─ ─ Ms. Yasuno also plays the role of Aletta Pace. She is not Undine, but a Sylph girl.

Yasuno: I found out at the same time that I would be singing the theme song and playing the role of Aletta. I was very happy to be able to be involved in both singing and acting.

─ ─ Before we talk about the music, could you tell us about your role as Aletta? Looking at the character list, she seems to be an energetic girl.

Yasuno: Yes. She is an energetic girl and a childhood friend of Anya, an undine belonging to Orange Planet. In contrast to Anya, who goes at her own pace, Aletta is the one who moves forward with her own sensibilities. I thought it was because of this personality that she was able to take Anya out and show her a new view. For more details, I would like you to watch the movie (laughs).

─ ─ Sylph also has a job that is closely related to the city, doesn't it?

Yasuno: That's right. As a lover of Neo-Venezia, I am in the same position as Undine, and I was really happy to be a part of the city. Due to the Corona disaster, we couldn't do postrecording with everyone, but I was able to talk with Ai Chino, who plays Anya. I think the key to "ARIA" is how much you can communicate delicately in conversation scenes, so I was really happy to be able to play along with Anya. I am sure that the actors who play many conversational scenes recorded their dialogue scenes individually.
