Side-scrolling action-comedy arcade shooter "HUNTDOWN" on Switch!

HUNTDOWN, a 1980s-inspired side-scrolling action-comedy arcade shooter from Coffee Stain Publishing and Easy Trigger Games, was released today.

■"HUNTDOWN" is an action-comedy arcade shooter with the charm of 1980s action movies and pop culture.
This is a nostalgic arcade shooter inspired by 1980s action movies and pop culture, created for today's bounty hunters. Players will also enjoy the hand-drawn 16-bit pixel art graphics and animations.

The action in this title can be played at 60-FPS for smooth movement, and each of the 20 levels can be enjoyed with an epic 80s soundtrack of dark wave, industrial synth, hard rock, electro, and more.

■ Even side-scrolling action can be enjoyed in a wide variety of ways, depending on the player!
Set in a dystopian future where even the police are cowering, the game pits three bounty hunters with weapons and killer instincts against sadistic and vicious gangsters. Players can play as a bounty hunter, a lone wolf on the run through a city in turmoil, or they can cooperate locally with their friends in a multiplayer game.

In multiplayer, the story can be told more strategically, with a wider variety of weapon combinations to destroy enemies. Players can also ambush enemies with a knife when out of ammunition, or attack from above with a guitar when out of ammunition.

The game was first released in May 2020, prior to this release, and was nominated for both the Excellence in Multiplayer and Indie Game of the Year categories at the SXSW Awards in January 2021.
