How to use Homura/Hikari in Smash Bros.

The two can be changed at any time!

Homura attacks with the power of fire, while Hikari disrupts with the speed of light. In "Smash Bros. SP," Homura fights by swinging his own sword, and can switch between Homura and Hikari at any time by using the "Homura Change" and "Hikari Change" special moves.

You can continue to attack with whichever you prefer, or you can use Hikari to accumulate damage and aim to shoot down with Homura. Take advantage of the benefits of the two in your fight. With some color variations, you may be able to confuse your opponent as to which is which.

Characteristics of Homura and Hikari

Homura and Hikari each have unique characteristics not found in other fighters. First, Homura has the "Flare Smash. With the power of flames, a side smash becomes a powerful blow to the head and can be used to shoot down a fighter early.

Next is Hikari's "Causality Prediction. If the attack hits immediately after the evade input, an afterimage of light appears, slowing the opponent for a short period of time! If they get behind you, you have a chance to counterattack.

In addition to these special features, each of the two has a different special move: a normal special move, a horizontal special move, and an upper special move. Let's take a look at them one by one.

Homura's Normal Special Move: Flame Nova

A powerful simultaneous left and right attack by spinning the sword around!
Hold down the button to increase the power and number of rotations.

Hikari's normal special move: Lightning Buster
A series of attacks with the sword of light, from a kesa slash to a triple slash!
Press and hold the button to increase attack power and range. Hold down the button to increase attack power and range.

Homura Side Special Move: Blaze's End
Throw a spinning sword forward to attack! The sword keeps spinning away from you.
Smash input increases the distance, allowing you to use the sword for both long and short range attacks.

Hikari's Side Special Move: Photon Edge
Hikari rushes forward and repeatedly warps while slashing through the air in a series of five slashes!
It has an excellent attack range and speed, making it ideal for surprise attacks. Be careful not to jump out of the gasket while in the air, as you will not be able to get back in.

Homura Kami-Special Move: Prominence Revolt
After slashing up while jumping, the Homura descends with great force and thrusts a pillar of fire.
This is a powerful blow that has great power when it lands, and can also be used to shoot down a target!

Hikari's top special move: Panishment Ray / Rainbow Dust
After slashing upward, Hikari launches a large light projectile diagonally downward!
A long press or a series of button presses transforms it into a Rainbow Dust that spreads into five bullets and attacks a wider area. This is effective as a long-range deterrent or to prevent an opponent's return to the battlefield.

Rex appears in the final trump card!
Rex, the hero of "Xenoblade 2" and partner of Homura and Hikari, rushes to the scene for the final trump card.
In both cases, Rex jumps out and strikes with a single sword for the first blow! It engulfs up to three opponents.
Homura's trump card is the Burning Sword, in which the two of them raise their flaming swords and burn their opponents with a huge pillar of fire.

Hikari's trump card is Sacred Arrow.
The sword of light is raised, and countless arrows of light rain down, hitting the opponent in rapid succession!

The Sacred Arrow does more damage, while the Burning Sword has more blistering power. After acquiring the Smash Ball, use it according to the situation.

Additional Stages and Music

The additional stage is "Cloud Sea of Arst. Riding on the back of Seiryu, Rex's "Jicchan," you will travel through a vast sea of clouds. The foothold changes depending on Seiryuu's whimsical lifting and lowering of his head and the direction he turns. During the fights, he sometimes gives us comments. From the boat, Nia, Tora, and others who traveled with them in the original story, and from further back, Gura, Invidia, and other giant gods and beasts watch over the fighters as they fight their way through the battle.

The additional music is a total of 16 songs from "Xenoblade 2", three of which are newly arranged. Three of them are newly arranged.
