The movie "EUREKA: Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution" will be designed by Kunio Okawara of "Mobile Suit Gundam" and others!

Kunio Okawara, who has participated in "Dynamic Suit Gundam" and other films, will participate in "EUREKA: Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution," which will be released in theaters in early summer of 2021, as a mecha designer. Mubichiket will be on sale from March 6 (Sat.).

The "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution" theater series began in the fall of 2017. Following "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution" (17) and the second installment "ANEMONE: Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution" (18), the final installment "EUREKA: Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution" will be released in early summer 2021.

It has been 16 years since the TV series "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN" aired in 2005, and its story of a boy named Renton who meets the heroine Eureka and embarks on a journey to learn about the world resonated with many viewers. Finally, "EUREKA: Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution" closes the big circle.

Kunio Okawara will participate in mecha design

Kunio Okawara is a leading master in the industry who has been in charge of mecha design for "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman," "Mobile Suit Gundam," and many other animation works. He will participate for the first time in the "Eureka" series with this work, the finale of the "High Evolution" series, and expectations are high for how he will add color to the work.

Newly powered-up mecha will make their appearance in this production as well. Here are two of them that will play a major role in this work.

Urus Laguna
The "Ursulaguna" is a prime dress (strong-arm protective mechanized armored infantry) that can maneuver a jet board to engage in highly maneuverable aerial battles. The SCT-A7A, which is carried by the ace pilot known as the "Steel Witch," is a reinforced assault type that can also carry a drone and neutralize the enemy with it.
There are also the SCT-J7G (Joint Infantry Type) and SCT-S7E (Support Electronic Warfare Type), which can be used in formation combat.

■Odyssey
The KLF is currently the mainstay of the KLF fleet, with its entire lower body powered by jet engines, making it specialized for aerial combat.

This was my first time to work with Director Kyoda, but he had clear concept and gimmick ideas for both Odyssey and Ursulaguna.
He had a clear concept and gimmick ideas for both the Odyssey and Ursulagna, which we could express in a straightforward manner, making it a rational and enjoyable job.
Since this was a hand-drawn animation, I tried to keep the lines as few as possible and make the design easy to grasp the shape, but perhaps it is the trend of the times, but there are more lines than in the past. I am looking forward to seeing the mecha in action, but I have mixed feelings when I think of the hard work of the animators who move them.
It will soon be half a century since I started my career in mecha design at the recommendation of Mr. Mitsuki Nakamura, my boss at Tatsunoko Productions in 1972, and I am grateful that people still call on me.

That day when I was still a child.
Ken, her father, went off to battle, leaving the young Anemone behind, and never returned.

Seven years passed. Anemone was in Tokyo, the battlefield where her father had died.
As a member of Acid, an organization that fights against humanity's enemy, the seventh Eureka, or Eureka Seven, Anemone has been entrusted with the hope of humanity. Anemone then sends her spirit into the Eureka Seven.

Inside Eureka Seven, Anemone meets a young man named Dominic and a girl with blue-green hair named Eureka. What does this encounter mean? And the figure of a boy named Renton who appears and disappears.

Dewey, the mysterious man held captive by Acid, prophesies, "You are watching Eureka.
