Tsushima City, in response to the rising worldwide popularity of the real-life Tsushima due to the mega-hit "Ghost of Tsushima" (Ghost of Tsushima), an open-world period action adventure for PS4 released in July 2020, has launched an official website, "Ghost of REAL" Tsushima" was launched.

Ghost of Tsushima" is based on the theme of the "Genko" invasion that took place during the Kamakura period (1185-1333), and has sold over 5 million copies worldwide in just 4 months since its release (as of November 11, 2020), and has a dedicated fan base around the world.

Tsushima City's official website is structured to give a sense of the scenery and architecture of "Tsushima" in the game and the real "Tsushima," and also allows visitors to view in-game footage and images of "Ghost of Tsushima. The site also includes a promotional movie of Tsushima City x "Ghost of Tsushima" and an interview with Diesuke Tsuji, who plays the main character Jin Sakai (in the "SPECIAL CONTENTS" section of the site), making it a must-see.

Following the success of "Ghost of Tsushima," Jason Cornell and Nate Fox of Sucker Punch Productions, the developer of "Ghost of Tsushima," were appointed as permanent ambassadors of Tsushima City.
