Cestus -The Roman Fighter-," which will begin airing on Fuji TV's "+Ultra" and other channels in April 2021, will be distributed exclusively on Fuji TV's video distribution service FOD from April 14 (Wednesday) at 24:55.

The long-selling work by Shizuya Girai, "Kempo Ankokuden/Kenyu Shintouden Sestas," which began serialization in "Young Animal" (Hakusensha) in 1997 and continues 23 years later, has won enthusiastic support not only in Japan but also in Italy and the rest of the world. The long-awaited anime adaptation will begin airing in April on Fuji Television Network's "+Ultra" and other channels.

It was announced that "Cestus -The Roman Fighter-" will be exclusively distributed on FOD on Wednesday, April 14 at 24:55.

Set in ancient Rome, "Cestus - The Roman Fighter" tells the story of a young slave, Cestus, who struggles against his harsh fate and crawls his way to freedom. While the fist-fighting slaves engage in heated battles, the psychological portrayal of each character is carefully depicted in a worldview based on historical facts, including the historical background and culture of the time. The battle scenes depicted in the animation were filmed using motion capture under the authentic supervision of Yoshihiro Kamekai, a former professional boxer (38th OBF Oriental Pacific Welterweight Champion / current boxing commentator), and realistically depict the trajectory of fists, breathing and other body movements. The filming was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Yoshihiro Kamekai, who is a professional motion-capture photographer.
