From December 12, 2019 to March 20, 2020, a four-frame manga describing the daily life of a casual crocodile was posted daily for 100 days on author Yuki Kikuchi's Twitter account, and immediately became a hot topic. Engagement exceeded 200 million, sending Japan into a whirlpool of emotion.

The animated film "The Crocodile Who Lived for 100 Days," which depicts the daily life of a crocodile for 100 days and what happened to his friends who lost something important 100 days later, is finally coming to the screen.

The film stars Ryunosuke Kamino as the voice of the main character, the crocodile, as well as Rinya Nakamura as the crocodile's best friend, a mouse, and Subaru Yamamura as a mole. The film also features a splendid cast with Ms. Yuko Niigaki as the crocodile's love interest, Senpai. The film is directed and written by Mr. Shinro Ueda, director of "Do not stop the camera" and Mr. and Mrs. Miyuki Fukuda, animation director, who strongly empathized with the message contained in the original story and were eager to make a film about it.

The additional cast has now been announced for the roles of the parents of the main character, the crocodile, played by Ryunosuke Kamino. The parents of the crocodile are played by Nobue Ikezawa, who has played a supporting role in various movies and TV dramas and also appeared in NHK's variety show "LIFE︕ - Contraband for LIFE". Tomokazu Sugiwa, who has voiced many popular characters such as Gintama's main character Sakanada Gintoki, and Kairi Isao Ikane in "Blade of Doom", will play a father and father of the crocodile.
Both of these two talented actors will breathe life into the work together with Ryunosuke Kamino and others.

The comments from the two have also arrived.

I started following the story from the middle of the book and went back to the beginning after seeing 100 days... When you look at life in 100 days, why do you feel so much love for each day of your life, which is usually spent in a mundane way? In this film, the viewpoint of "living for 100 days" is depicted. Even though their existence has disappeared, they continue to live on in those who are left behind... I feel a different kind of love for each day.

Playing a father and father for a short time made me feel as if he were my own son. What was the future that Mr. Wani wanted?
Only the real crocodile can know that, but I think he probably did not want quarrels and conflicts. I hope so.

<Story
In March, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the crocodile is nowhere to be seen at the cherry blossom viewing party that everyone had promised. His best friend, Rat, is worried and on his way to pick him up on his motorcycle, he sends a photo of the cherry blossoms in full bloom to his friends, but when he receives it, Wani's phone is lying on the road with a broken screen.
100 days ago --- The crocodile visits the hospitalized rat and makes him laugh with his favorite one-liners. A phone call with his mother, who sends him oranges every year. A fleeting romance with a sempai at his part-time job. Ramen noodle shop with friends. His favorite games, basketball, movies... Wani's everyday life is ordinary and mundane.
One hundred days after the cherry blossom viewing, the cherry trees are green and the falling petals have turned to rain. The friends were unable to face their memories of the crocodile, and they were no longer in touch with each other.
The daily life that has changed, and the days that go on. This is a story that could happen to anyone.
