Information about the Blu-ray and DVD "Higurashi When They Cry" from the TV anime "Higurashi When They Cry" has arrived.

Higurashi When They Cry" was first released as a doujin game in 2002, then became a TV anime in 2006 after word-of-mouth spread about its interesting puzzle solving and bizarre scenario. It has since been adapted into an animated TV series in 2006, a live-action movie, and a variety of other media.
In October 2020, it was announced that it will be re-animated as a new project, "Higurashi When They Cry," and that it will not be a remake, but a completely new work.

It has been announced that the Blu-ray & DVD "其 no 伍", which will be released on June 30, 2021, will include a newly written short story by the original author, Ryuunishi 07, as an initial production bonus.

It is said to depict the slapstick daily lives of the club members of Hinamizawa Branch School.
