It was announced that the TV anime "Higurashi When They Cry Graduate" will begin airing in July 2021.
Higurashi When They Cry" was first published as a doujin game in 2002. Since then, its interesting puzzle solving and bizarre scenario have spread by word-of-mouth, and in 2006 it was adapted into a TV anime. In 2006, it was adapted into an animated TV series and a live-action movie, and has since become a major hit in a wide range of media.
