Digibox Earth Defense Forces" new DLC #4 & free trial version for Switch is now available!

The "Maru-ryu Chikyu ga Shikaku ga Shikaku ni?" (The Round Earth Turned Square!????), now available on PS4 and Switch. Digibox Chikyu Boeigun EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: WORLD BROTHERS" (commonly known as "EDF"), the fourth new DLC and a free demo version for Switch are now available.

The fourth additional DLC, to be released on March 18, 2021, will be a collection of additional missions in which new enemies that did not appear in the main game will attack, and those characters will be available for collectors.

The additional mission pack "Shinarunaru Shikaku" (1,540 yen including tax) contains more than 10 tough missions, and new assassins literally attack. By opening the weapon boxes that appear during the missions, players can also obtain a number of newly added weapons.

Also available as an additional character is the "Additional Character Separate Ver Set" (330 yen including tax) for members of the "collect-it-all" faction. Five updated versions of EDF-inspired bonus characters will be available in one set. You can purchase these additional DLC separately, but the Season Pass is by far the most economical option. Elite Squad members, EDF recommends the Season Pass at all costs.

The additional mission pack "New Sikak" attack!

A new collection of additional missions is now available, with new enemies that did not appear in the main game.
More than 10 advanced missions for elite corps members are included. The long-awaited enemies that all EDF members have been waiting for are now ready to attack. This is a hopelessly difficult mission that is recommended only for those who have cleared the high level missions in the main game and are confident in their skills.

If you collect the weapon boxes that appear during the mission, you can obtain new weapons that do not appear in the main game. In addition, a new difficulty level "Armageddon "* will be released by meeting certain conditions as a bonus only for the members who have obtained this mission pack "New Shikaku".
As of March 18, the "Armageddon" difficulty can only be applied to the PS4 version of the game; Switch users will have to wait until the latest update is released at the end of March.

The square Earth has been (conveniently) torn apart once again by someone who will stop at nothing to deliver additional mission packs. Instead, EDF, which has no work to do on a peaceful Earth, is once again on the scene. Enemies that appeared in previous EDFs, such as this one and that one, are attacking us in abundance.

Quadruped Fortress
A 200-meter-long mobile fortress that appeared in EDF3 and EDF4, it is commonly known as "Yotsusoku (Four-Legged Fortress). Equipped with a huge plasma cannon, it has an amazing range and destructive power that can scorch an urban area several kilometers away in an instant. It is so strongly armored that it cannot be damaged by ordinary attacks, and it also generates force fields on its front and sides, rendering it impervious to any attack.

■Varrak
A giant creature similar to a dinosaur that appeared in EDF3. It spits powerful flames from its mouth and burns up its surroundings. It moves fast despite its huge size, so beware that it will approach you and trample you down in a matter of seconds. It also uses its long, large arms to pound the ground, so beware of that too.

Dragon Centipede
A giant, centipede-like creature that appeared in EDF2. It is an oddly shaped creature that is formed by several giant creatures in a series of knots and splits up depending on the attack.
It attacks by spewing out its bodily fluids and pouring down from the sky. It is also an enemy that many old EDF members have been hoping to revive.

The new battlefield of EDF is the square Earth. It is a parallel world where everything is digital and composed of voxels (cubes). In this world, it is natural that the round earth is also a square, but it's a big problem because this square and peaceful earth has been torn apart. EDF members are struggling alone in the disparate countries of the world. Rescue them and add them to your squad to create your own EDF unit. Each mission requires a team of up to four EDF members to go into battle. The game's main characters are the "Battalion" and the "Battalion of the Dead".
