Aniplex announces a TV anime adaptation of the popular manga "Tomorrow-chan no Sailor Suit!

Aniplex Corporation has announced that it will produce a TV anime adaptation of "Tomorrow-chan no Sailor Suit," currently serialized on Shueisha's web comic site "Tonari no Young Jump.

Asuka-chan no Sailor Fuku" is a popular manga series that Hiroshi has been serializing in Shueisha's "Tonari no Young Jump" since 2016. The slow and sparkling coming-of-age growth story of Asaikoji (Akebi Komochi) and her classmates set in a prestigious girls' junior high school, depicted with a soft touch, has gained a large following among both men and women alike.

The comics have sold more than 500,000 copies in total. The latest volume, the long-awaited 8th volume, is scheduled for release on Monday, April 19.

The TV anime is produced by CloverWorks ("Shadow House," "Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia," etc.). The director is Miyuki Kuroki ("THE iDOLM@STER SideM"), the character design is by Emi Kono ("THE iDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS" Designworks), and the series composition and script are by Rino Yamazaki ("Darling in the Frankis" script).

Along with the announcement of the TV anime adaptation, a concept movie has also been released. The movie depicts the main character, Akebi Komichi, waving her hand toward us and running freely over the greenery in a beautiful natural setting.
