Mimi Tanaka, Yu Serizawa, Yuki Wakai and Rina Honzumi appeared! Report on the traveling version of "Yakunara Mug Mug too - Oribe Academy Broadcasting Room" [AnimeJapan2021].
On March 27, a program featuring the cast of "Yakunara Mug Mugomo" was broadcast on the BS11 Stage at AnimeJapan 2021, which is being held on March 27 and 28, 2021.
The show is a coming-of-age story about four high school girls who fall in love with the traditional craft of Mino Ceramics. The project started in 2010 as part of a project by volunteers and companies in Tajimi City to "energize the city. The story is based on the free comic "Yakunara Mug Cup" published by Planet Corporation, a local IT company, since 2012.
Currently, the series has reached volume 33 and continues to be serialized with the support of local residents, along with an extra four-frame comic, "Naoko's Small Bowl".
This time, the radio program "Yakunara Mugugu no Mou - Oribe Gakuen Broadcasting Room" on CBC Radio was broadcasted.
The four members of the audience were Mimi Tanaka, who plays Hineno Toyokawa; Yu Serizawa, who plays Sanka Kuguri; Yuki Wakai, who plays Naoko Naruse and is the MC of the program; and Rina Honzumi, who plays Juko Aoki. The four girls engaged in a lively talk.
In the "Letter Corner" from the audience, the question was asked, "If you could play any other character, who would you want to play? The question was "If you could play any other character, who would you want to play? I was auditioning for Sanka at first, but I thought Naoko would be better, so I decided to play another character. The story behind the audition was told by Wakai, "I was auditioning for Sanka at first, but I thought Naoko would be better, so I ended up playing another character. I don't have a character who speaks without hesitation in my mind, so it's challenging" (Serizawa), a comment only an actor could make.
When asked about similarities between her character and the character she plays, Honzumi replied, "Juko has moments when she loses her composure when she concentrates. When I concentrate on my book, I sometimes don't even notice if someone is talking to me.
Ms. Tanaka also said that she had never tried pottery before, so she took a pottery class after her audition. In the class, she experienced the smell and touch of clay as HIMENO, and prepared for the recording with the same feeling.
Next, in the "club activity report journal, business trip edition," the speakers shared their memories of club activities they had experienced during their school days.
One of the "common" things to encounter in physical education club activities was a "very scary senior student. Wakai, who was in the handball club in junior high school, Honzumi, who was in the ping-pong club, and Serizawa, who was in the kendo club for a few months, each had a very strict hierarchical relationship with their seniors, which helped them understand how to maintain a sense of distance with their seniors after entering the voice acting industry.
On the other hand, Mr. Tanaka, who was in the broadcasting club in high school, says that the senior and junior members got along very well. He recalls that the whole club went to Disney Sea to commemorate his senior's graduation, and that "it was a time of youth.
The final part of the program was the "What kind of lines would you like to say?
In this corner, the audience was asked to say the lines they wanted to hear, which were solicited on the official Twitter page. The audience was excited to hear "moe" lines that made them writhe unintentionally, as well as lines that they would say when they were mooing over their pets at home.
The last performer, Motoizumi-san, performed his line when he saves his friend from slipping down a mountain during a climb!
His powerful voice echoed through the booth, fitting for the climax of the program.
The program will be aired in two parts: an anime and a live-action segment, so we can expect to enjoy not only the anime, but also the live-action segment where the cast members interact with each other.
