On the 27th, "Netfull Anime! AnimeJapan 2021 Mega Stage! AnimeJapan 2021 Mega-Massage Stage!

This stage featured talks introducing new anime exclusively distributed by Netflix, one of the world's largest video distribution services, along with the casts.

The first to take the stage were announcer Naoki Yoshida and Netflix Anime Chief Hiroki Sakurai.

According to Sakurai, 40 Netflix original anime titles are scheduled to be distributed in 2021, double the number of last year. It will be as if some new works will be delivered every week, which will further enhance Netflix's anime category.

Introduced in the midst of all this was a new visual for "Yasuke," a fantasy warring states anime with a mix of mecha and magic. The illustrations by character designer Ken Koike are full of power and anticipate an epic drama.

The director of this film, Rashon Thomas, is an American who moved to Japan because he loves Japan so much. Sakurai says that although he is familiar with Japanese culture and animation, he is not fluent in Japanese and was worried about working with a Japanese animation studio, but Manabu Otsuka, president of MAPPA, the production company, was amused. What kind of work will this film, which was produced by MAPPA, a company that takes what would normally be considered a difficult task as a challenge, turn out to be? We are very much looking forward to seeing it.

Distribution is scheduled to begin on April 29.

Next, I would like to introduce "Eden," which is scheduled to be distributed on May 27.
Sarah" is the only human discovered in "Eden," a world where only robots live. This science fiction adventure depicts the adventures of Sarah, who was raised by two robots in a world where humans are considered evil.

This film is a work that Justin Leach, who served as producer, has wanted to make for a long time, and Leach himself gathered together big-name creators and studios from around the world to make this film, because he believed that if he gathered a good staff, he could create an amazing animation.

And Netflix is known for its gory battle action anime. The latest in this category, "Valkyrie of the Apocalypse," was introduced.

This work, with its outlandish setting in which a representative of God vs. a representative of human beings engage in a 13-way battle for the survival of the human race, is scheduled for distribution starting in June.

This work is sure to be a hit, given the worldwide popularity of "Baki" and "Kengan Asura," both of which are animated fights with bullets!

The voice cast also includes an unquestionably ace lineup in terms of popularity and ability. We can also look forward to a fierce battle between the voice actors.

Next, the main cast members of the Netfull anime that we can expect to see in 2021 took the stage.

Kenjiro Tsuda, who plays Ryu in "Kyokushudo", Marika Takano, who plays Sara in "Eden", and Tomoyuki Morikawa, who plays Leon in "Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness", took the stage.

First, the PV of "Kyokushufudo" was introduced, in which Ryu, a househusband of a former yakuza, was so vigorously working on housework that both Morikawa and Takano couldn't help but burst out laughing. Mr. Takano especially liked Ryu, saying, "I want a father like him! I want a father like him.

Mr. Tsuda, who plays Ryu, commented, "He is a very stoic and serious househusband. I want a father like him. The recording studio was filled with laughter from start to finish.

The video is scheduled to be distributed on April 7.

Mr. Takano from "Eden" appeared next.

The production of this work took a lot of time and effort, and it was surprising to hear that after the "prescoring," in which the voices were recorded to create the video, the "postrecording" was done again on the finished video.

Mr. Takano was also surprised by the performance of Koichi Yamadera, who plays Zero, the robot's instructor. In the scene where Zero drinks water, Yamadera actually chews the water in a glass while acting. Mr. Takano, who had never acted while actually drinking or eating anything before, was shocked and said, "I didn't know you could do that! He revealed that he was shocked.

A teaser movie was then shown from "Resident Evil; Infinite Darkness," a CG animation series scheduled for distribution in 2021. Regarding the film, which is said to take place a little later in the timeline than the game "4," Tomoyuki Morikawa, who plays Leon, revealed that one of the story's settings is the White House and that a worldwide drama will unfold. Apparently, the human race in the play is in quite an existential crisis.

Mr. Takano can't help but smile as he listens to such gradually revealed information about the film.

Mr. Takano himself is a fan of the "Resident Evil" game series, and he expressed his expectations for the film, saying that he would be able to enjoy it with an open mind since the main character is no longer the player in the film.

He said that the recording of the game has not started yet, but he has received some information about the game. "It is a survival horror game, but the story is also important," he said, adding that it will be a work worth watching.
