Kyokushududo" is a Netflix original anime based on the popular comic book by Kosuke Ono. It is an at-home gag comedy that depicts the daily life of Ryu, an ex-gokudo who once left behind many legends in the underworld, as a full-time househusband. The main character Ryu is played by popular voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda, and the director is Chiaki Kon, who has directed many popular works including the TV anime "Nodame Cantabile" and the film version of "Sailor Moon Eternal".

Following the recently announced Kenjiro Tsuda as the main character Ryu, Shizuka Ito as Ryu's wife Miku, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Ryu's former apprentice Masa, eight more voice actors have been chosen for the delightful characters that surround Ryu's homey life.

Yoshimasa Hosoya, who has played many popular characters such as Olga Itsuka in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphens" and Rainer Braun in "Shinkage no Kyojin", will play the role of Torajiro, a former martial arts fighter known as "Tiger of the Stiff Fist". Torajiro is Ryu's former rival, a unique character with a gap between his appearance and his sweet tooth who loves sweets.

Atsuko Tanaka, known for her roles as Motoko Kusanagi in the "Ghost in the Shell" series and Lisa Lisa in "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," plays the role of "Miss Torii Hibari," who has left the gang and started working part-time at a supermarket. In this film, she and Ms. Tsuda's co-starring role in "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045" attracted a lot of attention, and in this film, they show a funny and enjoyable humorous dialogue as Ryu and Miss Yunjaku, two "ex-gokudo" (ex-members of a gang).

In addition, the role of Gin, Ryu and Miku's beloved cat that only speaks in secret when its owner is not around, is played by M.A.O., who is popular for her roles as Aoko Nakamori in "Majikku Kaito 1412" and Pecorine in "Princess Connect! The anime version is notable for its funny and heartwarming scenes in which Gin interacts with the neighborhood dogs and cats.

The cast also includes Jun Fukushima as a young yakuza boss who gets involved with Ryu at the supermarket, Kimiko Saito as the chairman of the town where Ryu lives, Masashi Nogawa and Junichi Yanagida as police officers who frequently question Ryu, and Hochu Otsuka as a gang leader who, like Ryu, has left the yakuza world. The cast of voice actors, who are leading the animation industry today, will be playing a variety of funny characters with one or two quirks, and you will not be able to take your eyes off this hilarious anime version.

New scene photos have also arrived!
New scene photos of Ryu and Torajiro reuniting and on the verge of breaking out in a fight have also been released. Both Ryu and Torajiro are "legendary ex-gokudo". In fact, while Torajiro was in jail, Ryu was involved in a gang busting incident, and the two are in a state of friction. The gag-filled scene between Tsuda and Hosoya is not to be missed.
Other scenes include the tense scene of Gin cat-punching Ryu, and the scene of Torii working at a supermarket. The film is full of scenes with 120% spirit, which somehow makes us laugh in spite of their seriousness.

The protagonist of the film, Ryu, is a former Gokudo (a kind of Buddhist priest) who was once feared as an "immortal dragon" and is now a full-time househusband who has mastered the art of house-husbandry. He prepares homemade lunches for his wife Miku, who is busy working from morning to night, and uploads them on SNS. He also keeps up with the neighborhood association. Despite his ex-mobster-like behavior, his daily life is depicted with a sense of humor and a homey atmosphere. The daily lives of the unique characters, including Ryu, who has left the gangster world to become the most powerful full-time househusband, his wife Miku, and his former apprentice Masashi, will make anyone laugh. The at-home, everyday gag comedy "Kyokushufudo" will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Netflix from April 8 (Thu.).
