The TV animation "PUI PUI MOLKAR" is a new type of stop-motion animation by Shin-Ei Animation, an animation production company that continues to produce nationally known works such as "Doraemon" and "Crayon Shin-chan". The film is directed by Asaki Misato, an up-and-coming puppet character animation director who won the Grand Prix at the Paris International Fantastic Film Festival (PIFFF) and numerous other awards in Japan and abroad for "My Little Goat," which was released in 2018 as a graduation project of the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts.

Set in a world where guinea pigs have become "molcars" (cars), this work, in which many molcars engage in crazy action filled with healing, friendship, and adventure, exploded in popularity as soon as it began airing.
