Five Pokemon manhole "Poke Lids" appeared in Kyoto! Sequentially turned into PokeStops for "Pokemon GO"!

Five new Pokemon manhole "Poke-lids" were unveiled and installed in Kyoto City, the first in Kyoto Prefecture.

Starting with an "Eevee" manhole in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, in December 2018, 159 manholes have been installed in 15 prefectures, and many people are enjoying visiting "Poke Lids".
Aiming to simultaneously convey the attractiveness of each region and each Pokémon to people in Japan and overseas, "Poké-lids" will be installed in various places in the future.


The five "PokeLids" unveiled in Kyoto this time depict Chicoryta, Hinoarashi, Waninoko, and Pichu, which appear in "Pokémon Gold and Silver" as the three Pokémon of the traveling route, as well as the legendary Pokémon Ho-oh in the image of various landscapes in Kyoto.


Like the "PokeLids" already installed in more than 150 locations throughout Japan, it is expected to serve as an opportunity for many people throughout the country and the world to learn about the charms of Pokemon and the city and town of Kyoto.






The "Pokélids" will gradually become PokéStops in the location-based game "Pokémon GO" for smartphones.
