New Narrator for "Chibimaruko-chan" is Kimura Kyo-ya! I thought it was a surprise.

It has been announced that "Kimura Kyo-ya," a narrator and radio DJ, will be the new narrator for "Chibi Maruko-chan," an anime series that airs every Sunday evening from 6:00 pm.

Chibi Maruko-chan" is a heartwarming, funny, and sometimes sad story about a third grader Maruko (Momoko Sakura), the second daughter of the Sakura family, and her everyday life with her family and friends in Shimizu City (now Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture), Shizuoka Prefecture. The original comic series was serialized in Ribon (Shueisha) in 1986, and 17 volumes are currently on sale. Overseas editions have been published in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea.

An animated TV series began in 1990, airing every Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. on Fuji Television Network. It has also been broadcast in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other countries, attracting men and women of all ages around the world, and has been loved for a long time.

It has been decided that Kimura Kyo-ya will take on the role of narrator for the TV animation "Chibimaruko-chan" starting from the April 4 (Sunday) broadcast. At the recording session held in Tokyo recently, Kimura-san, who is a new narrator, showed his veteran-like calm narration in spite of his nervousness, and the entire recording was done in a cheerful atmosphere.

On April 4 (Sunday), two episodes will be broadcast: "Maruko Longs to Live Alone" and "Maruko Thinks of a New Tag Game.
